Review for: Depart from Ha Long

We booked for 10 people, 5 women and 5 children. Before the trip, the boat company contacted us via WhatsApp to arrange the trip and have the guide contact us. We rented a van from another company, and the boat company and van company coordinated with each other. The guide came to pick us up at the van. The guide, Tom, took great care of us, was always smiling and cheerful, and provided excellent explanations throughout the trip. The boat was clean, and they took great care of the children who wanted to play in the jacuzzi. There was a hot shower available, and the buffet food was delicious (the spring rolls were especially good). In the evening, there were snacks and fruit. Drinks were not included with the meal, but the drinks were reasonably priced. I recommend bringing cash to pay on the boat, as credit cards are charged a 4% fee. Overall, we were very impressed. Here’s a polished and meaningful version of your Ha Long Bay day cruise review: > The cruise ship was beautiful, with clean glass windows and comfortable seating. The crew was very friendly and welcoming. The buffet was amazing — especially the sea clams — and the evening tea with fresh fruit was a nice touch. Our guide, Tom, was super friendly and helpful. service: I booked just a few hours before the trip, and the team still managed to confirm and arrange everything perfectly, even outside working hours. Big thanks to the Odyssey team for making this trip possible right before the Matmo typhoon. Truly appreciate your effort and love you all!

Review for: Depart from Ha Noi by Limousine Bus

Before departure, I was notified that the originally scheduled Odyssey cruise was chartered by a group, and it was directly changed to the Apollo cruise. Although customer service said it was a higher-end ship, I found that the prices were about the same after checking online, and it didn't seem to be more luxurious. The shuttle vehicle was new, with charging ports, and the space was comfortable and spacious. The buffet on board was average. It wasn't delicious, but it wasn't bad either. It was enough to fill your stomach. Drinks cost extra, but the prices weren't expensive. 1. Sung Sot Cave (Surprise Cave): The journey was further than expected, and the cave was larger than expected. Overall, it was easy to walk, but there were a lot of people, so you had to queue for a while to enter the cave. In the early stages, everyone stops to take pictures, which is a bit slow, but it becomes smoother later on. There is a free photo-taking spot in the middle where you can get a keychain. You can pay extra to buy the photo. The price is 100,000 VND. The scenery is about the same. You may feel bored in the middle, but when you finally reach the top, the view of Ha Long Bay is beautiful. 2. Luon Cave: 12 people per bamboo raft. The boatman will stop at suggested photo spots to help everyone take pictures and is friendly. In the end, I gave a tip to encourage him and thank him. If you encounter someone with good service, you can do the same. 3. Ti Top Island (Hero Island): The island arrival time was perfect, just in time for sunset. You can watch the sunset on the beach or climb to the highest pavilion, but the steps in the middle have large height differences, and the stairs are narrow, so you need to pay special attention to your steps. The sunset party wasn't as good as I thought. They just put out some fruit and cookies to keep everyone from getting bored on the way back. After the sun went down, sitting on the top deck in the wind was a bit cold, so I went downstairs to sit and avoid the wind while waiting to enter the port. The driver and tour guide were each given a 50,000 VND tip. I don't know what the going rate is, but this is for your reference.

Review for: Depart from Ha Long

The night before departure, they falsely claimed the yacht needed maintenance the next day and said they would upgrade us to another boat (preferably one that actually needed maintenance, hence the last-minute decision). Switching to the other boat was a complete disaster, with a super large crowd and extreme overcrowding. The food wasn't very fresh either. As for the tour guide, their only role was to get us on the boat; it was more practical to look up information about the attractions on Google yourself!!! Finally, the reason for such a harsh review is that I had just visited Ha Long Bay in January 2025, and the boat I took then had very fresh ingredients, with a table full of tender seafood dishes (unlike this time, with cheap ingredients and lots of cheap fried food to fill the space). At that time, the tour guide would lead the group while explaining the origin, stories, and anecdotes of each attraction. Compared to this trip, it was like the difference between heaven and hell.
