Review for: Fukuoka Aso Mountain & Takachiho Gorge Full-Day Tour

This one-day tour was a very nice trip. It is a great way to see Mount Aso and Takachiho. Even though it was raining and cloudy, I was still impressed by the atmosphere. Also, our guide, Ada, was incredibly nice and friendly. She spoke English, Chinese, and Japanese to help us. It is well worth the trip, and I highly recommend it!

the friendly tour guide (Kevin) - even though the weather wasn’t great, still had lots of fun with food and buying different local gifts. the Sakura latte is a seasonal drink and was very delicious, a great recommendation.

Great day out to Mt.Aso and Takachiho Gorge! Our tour guide Jimmy did a fantastic job, providing information about the journey with a touch of humour to keep us entertained, all while having to do the tour in both Chinese and English! The tour felt a little rushed at times, especially when going to Kusasenri/Mt.Aso but understandable considering what they packed in to the tour. Definitely recommend trying this, especially if you can go during good weather like we did!

Review for: [Limited Time Offer] Takachiho Day Trip (Excluding Boat Ride)

I joined the Mount Aso-Takachiho-Kusasenri one-day tour today, and the tour guide was Yang Meng. The whole day was very comfortable. Both the guide and the driver were good at creating a lively atmosphere and told us many historical stories. I was very happy to participate in this trip, a five-star review. I hope to meet the guide again when I come to Fukuoka next time (heart). Finally, the guide recommended some restaurants that she thought were good and that locals would go to, which was very thoughtful. We also tried one of them, and it was delicious~ The tour guide also helped us take group photos throughout the trip, which was very considerate and patient, providing a full experience. I was also lucky enough to see the crater, hehe.

Review for: [Limited Time Offer] Takachiho Day Trip (Excluding Boat Ride)

In September, when the grass grows and the orioles fly, we explore Kumamoto and Miyazaki. Mount Aso, located in the northeastern part of Kumamoto Prefecture on the Kyushu Island of Japan, is a famous active volcano in Japan and a symbol of Kumamoto. It is known for having one of the largest calderas in the world, with a total area of about 380 square kilometers. It resembles a huge scar on the earth, yet it is full of mysterious vitality. Kusasenri Plateau is a vast meadow that forms a sharp contrast with the smoking crater. The grassland is full of cattle and sheep, and the distant mountains are picturesque. You can take a walk, have a picnic, or experience outdoor activities such as horseback riding. Takachiho, a mysterious land located in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, is a gathering place for natural wonders and the birthplace of Japanese mythology. Here, every inch of land seems to tell an ancient story, and every breath can feel the fusion of nature and culture. Last but not least, I am very grateful to our guide, Yang Meng, for her meticulous explanation and tireless service throughout the day, which made me feel her meticulous care even in a foreign country. Hope to see you again! _(•̀ω•́ 」∠)_

This tour is highly recommended. I'm not sure if going on my own would be cheaper, but the attractions are quite far and difficult to reach, requiring multiple transfers. Buying this tour package was convenient. There were additional costs of about ¥1400 on top of the tour price, and we had to take care of our own meals. However, I was very impressed with the guide. He was excellent and always took photos for us.

After deciding to come to Fukuoka for the concert, Takachiho Gorge became the place I wanted to see the most. Since I was traveling to these attractions alone, transportation was not very convenient, and after comparing several options, this day trip was the most suitable for me. The entire trip was very relaxing and comfortable. The tour guide, Daisy (WX), provided very detailed Chinese and English explanations of the attractions, and took great care of us before and after the trip. It was fun to interact with her, and if I have the opportunity next time, I would like to join a tour with her again :D On the way back, I saw the sunset in Fukuoka, ending a perfect day.

Our guide, Little Liu, explained everything very carefully, not only local features but also some of Japan's history, very thoroughly. He always made sure that no one in the group was left behind, which was great. We only saw Komezuka from the bus. We only stopped at Kusasenri for an hour, so I recommend bringing something to eat up there. Takachiho Gorge wasn't as beautiful as I imagined, but it was still nice to walk around. There are two Lawson convenience stores near the meeting point, so be careful not to go to the wrong one. I recommend this tour for families traveling with parents, as the bus transportation throughout the trip prevents fatigue and allows you to visit multiple attractions, which is great.

Review for: One-Day Tour [Including Boat]

The Takachiho boat ride, Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine, and Kusasenri day trip itinerary includes many attractions, so it's important to manage your time carefully. Our guide, Yang Meng, thoughtfully emailed us important information the day before, and diligently introduced each site along the way. The driver was also very steady, allowing us to rest and sleep comfortably in the car. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We usually returned to Hakata city after 6:30 PM. If there's traffic or any delays, it could be even later. Therefore, if you plan to make dinner reservations, we recommend scheduling them for 7:30 PM or later to allow for more flexibility. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the Takachiho boat ride but doesn't have a car.
