What to expect

Stroll through Ise Grand Shrine and experience the solemnity of the sacred grounds on the Uji Bridge right-hand approach, remembering the unique tradition of no paper money allowed here! In Okage Yokocho, the freshly made Akafuku mochi at Akafuku Honten is as enticing as the Isuzu River's flowing water, and Fukusuke's traditional Ise udon noodles have an enticing aroma. You can also experience the three-dimensional world of mythology at the Ominokage-za, or choose your favorite souvenirs at the woodblock print gallery and souvenir shops. Choose one of two attractions: Mikimoto Pearl Island, where you can see female divers diving for pearls, or Toba Aquarium, where you can encounter Asia's only dugong. Futami Okitama Shrine's Wedded Rocks and frog amulets are also great places to pray for love and good fortune!

Toba Aquarium, located in Toba City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, is one of the aquariums in Japan that keeps the most species, with approximately 1,200 species.

Review for: Nagoya Station Meeting Point

Interesting to see the diver women collecting the oysters for pearls, always wanted to see the wedded rocks. Driver was good, clear instructions where to walk and time to come back but no explanation about the sites. Enough time to explore all the areas. Bus seats are too cramped. I'm 170cm, the seat was exactly my hip to knee, quite uncomfortable the whole 2hr journey from place to place. Cannot move during the ride.

The travel agency run by Chinese people is really not good, so unprofessional (I've had similar experiences before). There were only 7 people in this tour group, including me, and 6 of them were a family. As soon as I got on the car, I smelled a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the car. The driver just put a cheap car air freshener and thought he could get rid of the smell. The driver兼 (tour guide?) drove too fast and jerky, and some of the tour members vomited after getting off the car. The driver didn't drive the car well, and he didn't do what a tour guide should do (that is, no explanation of local attractions). Never mind, I'll just treat it as a fare to the destination. I think next time I should try to find a local tour company run by local Japanese people, it should be better. Or join a local tour of popular attractions, if there are many tour members, at least a tour bus will be used, and the condition of the tour bus will be better than a van. Ise Grand Shrine is very large, and the shopping street is very good for shopping, and you also need to reserve time for lunch, two hours is definitely not enough, you need 3 hours. As for Toba Aquarium, two hours was originally just enough, but since the disembarkation point is a bit far from the aquarium, the round trip will take an extra 20 minutes. Fortunately, at the beginning, I discussed with the family in the tour group and decided to cancel the Futami Okitama Shrine, and allocate the time to Ise Grand Shrine and the aquarium, so there was just enough time to play.

Time alloted for each place was enough. Although traffic was really bad going to the Ise Shrine, the driver was able to interchange the places in the schedule to avoid the traffic.

I think it's worth experiencing Mikimoto pearls on Pearl Island. The itinerary is not rushed, with 2 hours at each location, which is enough time. For the Ise Grand Shrine, I recommend allocating more time to visit the snack street for eating, shopping. You can find sake, lobster, grilled fish, and oysters there.

my trip was cancelled 8 hours before the scheduled pickup, while I was sleeping. I would have loved advanced warning about it! Up until then it seemed like it was great, and they refunded my money right away.

Tour guide could have been more informative about the places visited and more interactive. He seems more like just a driver
