Winery Visit and Wine Tasting Experience in Vila Nova de Gaia

the booking is easy. present the QR code to the front desk for entry. an audio guide was provided , however mine did not work properly. It didnt bother me much as I was able to read the information and they also have video showing how they make the wine! the best part is wine tasting ! enjoy !

Quite unexpectedly, this turned out to be my favourite experience during my three days in Porto. The tour duration was just right, and the audio guide was clear and well-structured in the selected language, although the app did experience a few minor technical issues along the way. The weather was perfect, which made everything even more enjoyable, and the tasting itself was simply delightful. The setting is truly breathtaking: a vibrant, almost surreal garden with roaming animals (including two impressive roosters and even a peacock) overlooking the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge and the Douro River. The service was warm, attentive and knowledgeable, offering insightful explanations of each wine presented. The vintage Port wine, in particular, was a wonderful surprise, sweet, smooth and incredibly enjoyable. As an Italian, if I had the choice, I would happily have my aperitivo here and nowhere else in Porto. Highly recommended!

Immediate entry was available and it was wonderful. After checking your ticket, you'll receive three glasses of wine. You just need to wait at your seat!

I have a better understanding of port wine now, and the last three glasses I tasted were really delicious.

Although the location was on a very steep hill, making it a bit difficult to get to, I really enjoyed being able to slowly listen to the audio guide while touring, and then leisurely enjoy wine tasting in the beautiful garden at the end! The 25 euros were well worth it. No one checked the time, so it's great to just relax and enjoy yourselves. 🥰

Nice experience, perfect wine tasting experience

Very nice experience. We knew nothing about the history or process behind the port wine, but that was no problem, because this you will learn! The tasting was also really nice! Well worth the money.

The tour was informative and interactive and we appreciated that it was self-guided, so we went at our own pace. The tasting area was nice however, the tasting itself involved a long wait with multiple attempts on our end to follow-up. So take this in mind in case you have a schedule to follow. When they did get to us, the waiter did an excellent job explaining the wines and there was generous amount to sample. Thank you!

It was so great 😊. There are pros and cons to it being an audio guide, but I was satisfied, and the final wine tasting service was also great 👍.

If you're going to Porto, be sure to include this in your itinerary. It's an amazing experience.
