Xiamen Gulangyu round trip ferry ticket

From the Xiamen International Cruise Center (=Cruise Center Xiamen-Gulangyu Terminal, Dongdu Terminal/Dongdu Tongyi Terminal), tourists can only enter the pier from here. After arriving at the cruise center, go up to the 2nd floor ticket office to exchange tickets (passport/Taiwan Compatriot Card), then line up according to the on-site indicator lights. When the time is right, you can go to Sanqiutian Pier on Gulangyu Island~ The boat ride takes about 20 minutes and is quite punctual, overall it's good! There are really a lot of people on holidays, so please be aware. There will be some merchandise sold on the boat, you can buy it as a souvenir if you want.

Collection of tickets at 东渡码头 on second floor was a breeze. Met our tour guide at Gulangyu pier. He is a resident on the island. Enjoyed the 2hrs tour walking tour with his explanation and ended the tour with a visit to a tea house which he led us. Worth a visit!

If you're comfortable communicating via WeChat in Chinese and handing your passport to the guide for a short period to arrange ferry tickets, this is a fantastic tour. The itinerary is simple, allowing for independent sightseeing, and they also handle the arrangement of tickets to attractions. According to the guide, advance booking is generally required for admission tickets, so I requested tickets for Shuzhuang Garden and Hai Ti Tang Gou, and when I didn't know how to enter, Pan was very helpful. The ferry terminals for the outbound and return journeys are different, so the bus ride is a bit long on the outbound journey, but the return terminal makes it quite easy to get back to the city after arrival. The guide, Lin, provided a lot of information about dining, shopping, and sightseeing. I think it is a very good tour with a very efficient itinerary. Thank you, A Pan and Xiao Lin!

easy redemption with good support from ground staff to guide you. we had a simple day in the island and there were many local artists singing around the place. it was comfortable and relaxing.

Upon arriving at Dongdu Ferry Terminal, take the escalator up to the second floor where you'll find the ticket office. I presented my passport and showed my reservation screen, and the staff member immediately printed my ticket. Last time I visited Gulangyu, I took the regular ferry, so I was curious about the luxury ferry this time and purchased a luxury ticket. It was quiet, and the air conditioning and seats inside were comfortable, so I enjoyed the ride. When leaving, the ferries (both regular and luxury) arrive at different times, so I took a regular ferry from the Sanqiutian Pier, which is close to my accommodation.

Just input dongdu ferry terminal on didi destination and arrive at least 1 hour before with your passport to exchange for your ferry ticket.

Today I visited Gulangyu Island, which is just off the coast, and it's truly beautiful! But it's also incredibly sunny and hot 😮‍💨. I'm feeling dizzy and nauseous, I think I'm getting heatstroke 😭.

We didn't realise that we can just book the ferry ticket without the tour guide by just selecting "Sanqiutian Pier" (which is at Gulangyu). Also not sure where is "Pier 1" and "ferry terminal". Ended up choosing "ferry ticket + shuttle bus". The tour agency staff communicated with us, via WeChat, a day after purchased from Klook, and a day before the trip to Gulangyu. Meeting time was much earlier, 9.05am (instead of 9.40am-10am). Bus brought us to Songyu Wharf, about 17km (40mins drive) from our meeting point near "Chunguang Hotel Zhongshan Road". Tour guide offered us some optional attractions packages (no hard-selling). We saw a few attractions counters NOT accepting walk-ins or sold out for the day. Returning ferry is flexible timing between 3pm – 8pm. “Most Beautiful Corner” has a myth, which is not recommended for couples to take photos/video. Network is slightly "challenging" on the island.

Go to Dongdu Ferry Terminal at least 30 mins earlier. Redeem for a physical printed QR code from the digital machine with your passport number. Go through security and start queuing at your departure gate. Simple.

Highly recommend booking your Klook Gulangyu ferry tickets in advance to avoid long queues on-site, or having to deal with unfamiliar WeChat/Alipay mini-programs to grab tickets. It also prevents being pressured or scammed by tourist agents selling expensive package tours on-site. Relax and enjoy your travel time.
