- Free pickup from your desired location in Tokyo and drop-off will be Tokyo Station
What to expect
We are Matenro Drift Racing, the OG drift team from Tokyo, Japan.
The activity is completely private lesson and school which offers the opportunity to actually drive a JDM drift car, with a legendary OG teacher for beginners and intermediate experience drivers. Our teachers have immense background in the streets in Japan. Our private lessons are 3 hours long so you will have enough time to learn the basic skills. We also have a replica police car so you can experience a police chase at the end of the session!
You will be driving a Mazda Miyata NB for beginners, a Mazda RX-8 or Nissan 350Z for intermediate level, the cars and teachers will vary according to the day. Some teachers can speak English and teachers who can not speak English we will have an interpreter on site for translation.

These guys are seriously the best crew. I came in as a total beginner with zero drifting experience, but by the end I was actually doing figure-eights. That feeling was unreal. The whole team is made up of genuinely cool people, and if I come back to Japan, I’m 100% drifting with them again. Wishing nothing but more success for Matenro Drift Racing—these guys deserve it!
I don’t think anyone loves drifting more than these guys. You can really feel their passion — it was incredible. And above all, it was insanely fun! Getting drift lessons in Japan with my favorite Japanese cars was an absolute dream. It became one of my best memories ever. Truly an amazing crew.
The crew was amazing! The lesson was completely private, and these guys are the real deal when it comes to drifting. Their teaching style was great — I was able to nail figure eights in about two hours. After that, I even got to try ebrake turns in a 350Z. It was a packed and fulfilling three hours. Honestly, this was probably the highlight of my entire trip. I’ll definitely be booking with them again next time. Highly recommended!
