Beijing Badaling Great Wall + Ming Tombs Dingling Pure Play Day Tour

Our day trip to the Badaling Wall and Ming Tombs was fantastic, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Mr. Yang. He wasn't just someone reciting facts. At the Ming Tombs, he felt more like a storyteller, making the history of the emperors and their resting places come alive. He also quietly clued us in on the little things you'd want to know—like where it's respectful to be quiet or why you shouldn't take photos in certain spots. It wasn't scary, just thoughtful, and it made the whole experience feel more meaningful. Then, at Badaling, he gave us just the right amount of info before setting us free to tackle those incredible, steep steps at our own pace. The views were breathtaking, of course, but having Mr. Yang's insights in our back pocket made the whole day so much richer. It was the perfect mix of a personal guided tour and your own adventure.

Today is Saturday. We joined the Badaling + Ming Tombs one-day tour. We met at Exit A of Chaoyangmen Subway Station at 6:50 in the morning and then went to Huapu Building. Our tour guide is Yang. There should be more than 40 group members today. Yang had repeatedly reminded us on WeChat last night that there would be a lot of people in the scenic area on Saturday and not to be late. Fortunately, all the group members were very self-disciplined and did not meet there late. We went to Badaling early in the morning and decided to take the cable car to the sixth floor of the north building at our own expense. So Yang had already charged us on the bus. After getting off the bus, he went to help everyone get the tickets. We lined up to get the bus to avoid wasting time. Our tour guide was very attentive and experienced and had rich historical knowledge. After going down the mountain at Badaling, we went to the pedestrian street at our own expense to watch a 50-minute old Beijing performance. It was very good. Then we went to have a group meal. The average buffet cost $30 per person, which was pretty good. After that, Yang took us to Dingling to visit the underground palace. It was magnificent. I was surprised how it was built back then. I immediately wanted to go home and open the history book to have a look. After that, we went to Changling to have a look. Because it was under repair, we could only look at the cultural relics in the palace. After that, we went back to the Bird's Nest to disperse... Today's trip was very pleasant. In the morning, we first visited the Ming Tombs to learn more about the history of the imperial tombs, and then arrived at the Badaling Great Wall. Tour Guide: Mr. Yang, the tour guide, is very responsible. He explains the various allusions of the scenic spots in detail, is humorous and talkative, and is very considerate to the group members. Not bad!!! Itinerary Arrangement: Appropriate, transportation does not take up too much time. Attractions Along the Way: The Badaling Great Wall and Dingling Mausoleum are both scenic spots with profound historical background worth visiting. The tour guide made thoughtful arrangements and took good care of the group members. The activity schedule was not too tight and it was relaxing and pleasant. We were very lucky that we did not encounter long queues and traffic jams at the Great Wall. The weather was not too sunny and the scenery was beautiful. It is a historical and cultural place worth visiting.

Good trip! the tour group only have 10 pax and we went in a mini van, much faster; the guide, 郭导,is highly knowledgeable in the Ming tomb; the Great Wall is crowded but manageable; the crowd thin off once we move to the steeper portion of the great wall;

its a big group of 16 groups, may be up to 25 to 30 participants. but the guide, 小郭is very guide in controlling the group, time, doing headcounts, getting tickets on time, going to the destinations on time. He provided a lot of info on the Great Wall of China and especially the Mind's tomb (we visited Dingling). and he is very humorous too.

We took a one-day tour to the Badaling Great Wall and the Dingling and Changling Tomb of the Ming Tombs. We would like to thank Yang, a senior tour guide from Jinma International Travel.
