we joined half day tour. it was tiring but fun at the same time. new experience learning about their culture & belief. our tour guide Mr Kevin texted us a day before tour for gentle reminder about pick up time & place. the tour was smooth, the van was super comfortable. i fall asleep every time we got in the vehicle. we requested to drop off at restaurant instead of our hotel.
Such a fun day. Louisa was an amazing tour guide. Her english was excellent and she made the trip so fun. she was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with stories and facts. She also took the best photos. I would highly recommend this tour 😊
The experience was fantastic — we absolutely loved it. Besides visiting all the places, it was also very enriching to learn about the history and to be part of the creation process of both the hats and the incense, understanding how everything works. We even brought home two lovely souvenirs. On top of that, our guide, Kevin, was tireless and incredibly dedicated throughout the whole experience.
Fun day 💛 May 2026 It’s our first time in Vietnam and our Tour Guide Nadia made our tour one of a kind, wonderful, fun and most especially explained to us the culture and how vietnamese people do those kind of historical work like Hat making and Incense making. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience
We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour! Visiting the Incense Village and learning about traditional hat-making was incredibly beautiful and culturally rich. A huge thank you to our guide, Kevin, who was fantastic! He was super knowledgeable and friendly, (and took some amazing photos for us!). I've attached some of my favorite pictures to show how beautiful it is. The transfer from our hotel was smooth (from the old quarter) and the way back too. Highly recommend this tour if you're in Hanoi.
Sabrina our tour guide was super pleasant and informative. I wish the incense factory photo stop would have been longer but other than that it was a good value for money. Make sure to pack up some snack as we took the morning tour then finished at past 1pm.
It was my 2nd time in Hanoi and I was looking for some new experiences as all the main tours were covered in my previous visit. This tour was a great option to spend half a day in country side. Tom, our guide was friendly and full of energy. He explained each part well and took photos for us. Incense village is a good photospot. You also get to see how the incense sticks are made by hand. The Hat village was also nice as you get to few steps yourself. The most fun was painting the hat. Our morning pickup was delayed, but Tom and the tour company apologised and treated us with some good coffee. We spend ample time at each location.
The Incense Village & Hat Making Tour is an absolute must-do while in Hanoi. It’s a beautifully curated experience that showcases two of Vietnam's most iconic cultural symbols. The tour offers a fascinating look into the craftsmanship behind incense & the traditional conical hat (Nón Lá). Seeing the vibrant bundles of incense sticks drying in the sun is a photographer’s dream. The hat-making portion was equally impressive - seeing the patience required to construct a single hat gives you a newfound respect for this everyday Vietnamese staple. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly our guide, Kevin. He made the entire experience seamless and engaging: - He shared historical facts & cultural nuances in a way that was fun, rather than feeling like a lecture. - His English is excellent & easy to understand Bonus Perk: Kevin is a fantastic photographer! He knows all the best angles and was happy to help us capture some incredible shots of the day. Highly recommended!
It was a smooth transaction from the booking and the staff were very informative with all the instruction. It was nice experience and we will definitely refer this tour to our other friends. Kudos to Trang aka Nadia for a very comfortable trip :)
