Tour Guide Chen from Huangshan is diligent, responsible, and experienced; while Tour Guide Fang from Hongcun is an excellent speaker and very knowledgeable.

Itinerary was not rushed. There will be a guide bringing you up Huangshan. Our guide was fantastic in engaging us and telling us the many stories about the spots we visited. Note that there will be additional 570RMB that have to be paid for meals + cable car rides. Highly recommend

The actual tour differs from the itinerary. Two local tour guides took us up Huangshan mountain. It is fully guided instead of free and easy. We had to pay an extra RMB580 per pax to cover all our expenses including 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 2 cable car ride and 2 train ride. It is well worth the extra money. Rooms in Xihai hotel on Huangshan mountain comes with window and Anchi hotel at Huangshan city overlook the river. On our own, the tour package price can only pay for the 3 nights accommodation. A word of warning, if you are not physically fit or has slight mobility issue, avoid Huangshan mountain. One member has knee problem and the guide helped to carry his backpack up the mountain. Overall, a value for money tour package.

Huangshan Scenic Area • Natural Landscape: Huangshan is famous for its "four wonders": strange pines, strange rocks, sea of clouds and hot springs. The strange pines here are in various shapes, such as the welcoming pine; the strange rocks are lifelike, like monkeys watching the sea; the sea of clouds is rolling and majestic, and it feels like a fairyland when viewed in the early morning or evening; the hot spring resources are rich, making it a good place to recuperate and escape the summer heat. • Cultural heritage: Huangshan is the treasure house of traditional Chinese culture and has profound cultural heritage. Men of letters from Li Bai in the Tang Dynasty to Xu Zhimo in modern times have left immortal works here. At the same time, the Taoist culture here has a long history, and Buddhism has also spread and developed here, forming a unique religious and cultural atmosphere. • Tourism Facilities: Huangshan's tourist facilities are relatively complete, including cableways, hotels, restaurants, etc., which can meet the needs of different tourists and provide convenience for tourists. • Tourist evaluation: Most tourists have a very high evaluation of Huangshan and think that its scenery is magnificent and makes it very popular. It is breathtaking and one of the must-visit attractions in your lifetime. However, some tourists have reported that the scenic spots are crowded during the peak tourist season and the cableway prices are on the high side. Hongcun • Architectural landscape: Hongcun is an ancient village that has been rigorously planned. Its architectural style is a typical Hui-style building, with white walls and black tiles. Simple and elegant. The village is protected by green mountains and has a high terrain. Its artificial water system adopts a bionic "cow"-shaped layout and is exquisitely and ingeniously designed. Water features such as Moon Marsh and South Lake complement the ancient buildings, forming a beautiful Jiangnan ink painting. • Cultural value : Hongcun was founded in the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty. It has a long history and rich cultural connotations. It is a living textbook for studying the history of water conservancy in ancient China and an important part of China’s water conservancy history.

Climbing process: Although hiking is hard, you can enjoy various beautiful scenery up close along the way and feel the wonders of nature. From the foot of the mountain to the top, the scenery keeps changing as the altitude increases, and every step is full of expectations and surprises. However, the mountain roads in Huangshan are relatively steep, which is a big challenge to physical strength and endurance, especially the Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder and the Skyline, which require both hands and feet to climb up. But when you overcome the difficulties and reach the top of the mountain, overlooking the magnificent scenery, you will feel that all the efforts are worth it.

The scenery of Huangshan Scenic Area is really unique, the sanitary environment is also good, the journey is very relaxed and comfortable, the food is good, everything is satisfactory, the accommodation is good, the sanitation is very clean, the tour guide has a good service attitude, and the cost performance is very high
