Beginner Ski Day Tour from Seoul: Jisan Ski Resort (Closest Resort)

The tour guy was punctual and easy to communicate with good English. We were in a tour with only 8 persons. The tour guy were nice to take care of my son who is 11 years old and first time skiing. My son enjoyed to ski in the slope so much and played many times. Good to recommend!

I must give praise to our tour guide, ALEX, today! He was not only attentive and patient in his explanations but also thoughtfully helped take care of my child. He was truly amazing!

This time I shared a ride with 1 person, but only 4 people participated. I chose to depart on a Friday. It is only an hour's drive from Myeongdong. I first changed into snow clothes and walked 6-7 to the ski resort, and then picked up the ski equipment. The tour guide also served as a ski instructor and taught English seriously. , also helped us shoot videos, and were able to return the equipment at 15:00. The park has hot food, 7-11, Burger King and other food, and the environment is beautiful! In the end, because the tour guide didn’t know what kind of itinerary I bought, the company insisted on overcharging me for the snowsuit equipment. Later, I forcibly gave it to Look. I am currently waiting for Klook’s compensation to be paid. It’s great to have Klook!

Crystal is such an accommodating tour guide. She has great patience and very good communication skills. She is fluent in English and Chinese, so you don't have to worry about communication problem. The only thing to take note is that this package only provides ski gear rental, BUT not ski clothes rental. Ski clothes are separately paid to the ski clothes rental shop. So, beware of that.

Today I came to this Pyeongchang ski resort, which is super far from Myeongdong, about 200 kilometers away, and takes at least 2 hours or more. It's probably the largest ski resort in Korea. After all, it hosted the 2018 Winter Olympics, so it's not of ordinary standards. The original Jisan ski resort was very close to Myeongdong, but the snow conditions were probably not good, so we had to switch to Pyeongchang. GOGO coach carefully guided us beginners, explained things carefully, and pointed out problems, so that everyone knew their problems and slowly corrected them. I slid down the slope for 50 seconds without falling, and also dodged skiing tourists to safely reach the platform below. Through constant practice without eating lunch, I finally succeeded, awesome! 🤣🤣🤣

It was such an amazing experience skiing today! Our coach “Googoo”, was super patient and guided us so well—thanks to him so much! I went from knowing nothing about skiing to being able to glide down on my own!

Owen is a very professional and patient instructor who teaches step-by-step from the most basic movements, explaining clearly and demonstrating effectively. My first time skiing was completely stress-free, and the experience was great. I recommend him to beginners. As a complete beginner with no prior skiing experience, I was initially quite nervous, but Owen's teaching method was really reassuring. His explanations were very clear, he broke down the movements in detail, adjusted the pace according to my situation, and constantly reminded me about safety and center of gravity. He was also patient in repeating instructions when I didn't understand, without ever showing any impatience. In just one lesson, I was able to slowly ski down on my own, which was a great sense of accomplishment. Alex was an excellent guide and ski trainer, patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the experience. We enjoyed the experience immensely, especially the great photos and videos that captured so many fun moments. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try skiing!

We commend VIP Travel and especially our tour guide, Gogo, for our fun and safe ski experience in Yongpyong Ski Resort last Dec 11th, 2025. By Dec 10th ~2 PM, VIP Travel already informed of the resort venue change due to the weather conditions then, and they arranged for everything, so we didn't have to pay or book for anything more. Gogo was an accommodating, detail-oriented tour guide, who took care of every guest considering that most in our group were beginners in skiing. Gogo and their team had good and clear English and conversational skills, and they were responsive and well-prepared. Their van was also very comfortable and clean; and their driver was kind (sorry, wasn't able to get his name).
