Very fun day out although it was tiring physically. Everything is good about the tour. Perhaps the only bad thing is the lack of sufficient toilet breaks as it was pretty rushed especially for a huge tour group. All in all it was a very interesting trip out of Rome.
Our tour guide, Chiara, was very professional, spoke excellent English with hardly any accent, and allowed us ample time at both locations. The lunch was outstanding; both the red wine and the pasta were delicious. Highly recommend!
this tour was great value for money, combining duel highlights of Bagnoregio and Orvieto, including the astonishing Duomo di Orvieto. Although an internal tour of the Duomo was not included, for only 8 euro the entrance ticket included a mulilingual downloadable audioguide. On a hot day the airconditioned bus was driven exertly by Rommel. I thought the stop at a tourist shopping hall was unessesary, and I would have preferred more time to explore Orvieto instead.
I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Rome! Civita di Bagnoregio is truly a breathing taking place and if you are a fan of Hayao Miyazaki, this place should be a MUST DO bucket list for you! I would like to give special thanks to our amazing tour guide Natasha!! She is such a wonderful tour guide, she is knowledgeable and entertaining! This tour is a hidden gem that you don’t want to miss!!
I chose this tour because I wanted to go to the "Castle in the Sky", Civita di Bagnoregio. Probably because of Hayao Miyazaki, about a third of the guests were Japanese. In addition to the "Castle in the Sky", we also stopped in the town of Orvieto in the morning. Since we arrived at 9:00 AM, many of the shops were not yet open. We had to leave at 11:00 AM for lunch, and I felt there wasn't enough time to experience this town. I would like to visit it again next time. The lunch also offered three to four kinds of red wine to taste, which were delicious with salami, cheese, honey, and jam. The main course was Bolognese spaghetti. After the meal, you can buy wine, honey, and jam directly from the winery. We went to "Castle in the Sky" at 3:30 PM in the afternoon and had to transfer to a small bus to enter. You need to walk uphill for a while to get into the town. Because it was winter, only a few souvenir shops and restaurants were open. I wish we could have stayed longer. The tour guide was very friendly and also introduced desserts and main courses to eat in Rome. I hope I have the opportunity to visit again!
This was a great trip. Our tour guide was amazing; he gave us a very detailed tour. we had so much to do and so much to see. i would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about this tour.
Our guide, Laura, gave an excellent explanation, connecting the daily lives of Italians to the stories of the small town. For lunch, we experienced the slow food culture at a farm restaurant. The factory tour had fantastic shopping opportunities, with olive oil, truffle sauce, and chocolates galore.
Semih is a great tour guide. He always check if we are included in each tour. Great tour to explore wines and and traditional Italian dishes.
The travel time is quite long, making the sightseeing schedule a bit tight. It would be better if we could have an extra 10-20 minutes to explore the mountain city and the "City of Sky." The tour guide was very friendly, and the wine tasting was a delightful experience. The scenery at "City of Sky" is beautiful.
Since getting to Civita di Bagnoregio is quite inconvenient, joining a day tour with transportation is very helpful. Unfortunately, the weather was unusual that day, with rain and hail. The activity included lunch and wine tasting, and the pasta tasted good.
