The best thing about Hotel Fontana is its location. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was only a few minutes’ walk from the Amalfi pier, which made arriving with a large suitcase much easier than I expected. For location, I would give it five stars.
The main challenge on arrival was carrying my 22 kg suitcase up the steps to reception. The room was otherwise okay, but it felt dated and could benefit from refurbishment, especially the bathroom. The shower was very narrow, even for me as a petite person, and the rain shower was impractical when I didn’t want to wash my hair.
I didn’t get to try breakfast because it started at 8 a.m.; an earlier start would be helpful for guests heading out early. My interactions with the staff were limited to check-in and check-out, so I can’t say much about the service.
Overall, the hotel’s proximity to the pier is a real advantage, and the room balcony that I got comes with this stunning view, the room and shower could be more comfortable.

We truly enjoyed this full day excursion even if it was short as the travel time was lenghtly. Our guide on that day was great and made sure that we are together even if it was such a big group. People stick with the timeline so it was timely in transitioning to the next area.

I recently had the pleasure of joining a tour of Amalfi and Positano, guided by the wonderful Paola. From the onset, Paola's intelligence and thoughtful demeanor made the experience truly special. She effortlessly balanced being considerate with staying firmly on schedule, ensuring we got the most out of our day.
Max, our driver, deserves a shout-out as well. His driving was both efficient and safe, allowing us to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery without worry. Overall, this tour was a fantastic experience, made even better by Paola's expert guidance and Max's skilled driving. Highly recommend!

The tour program was excellent, allowing us to comfortably explore Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello! And Roberto was the best guide ever!!! After picking up our boat tickets, we were able to explore Positano and Amalfi at our leisure. The boat ride was very comfortable, and the schedule was perfectly arranged. We had to return to Sorrento early due to not feeling well, and the boat company was very helpful in assisting us with changing our tickets.

The Amalfi Coast and Positano were definitely worth seeing once in my lifetime, but I don’t think I will be returning to the Amalfi coast and Positano anytime soon. The boat ride over from Naples was Pleasant, although humid and hot.
