Reviews
This was such a unique experience and I am glad I came to Ishigaki just for this.. although we were only English speaking the tour guides were able to speak enough English to make sure we got from point A to B and on the right bus, etc. Can't recommend enough.. the water buffalo were amazing
There was no tour guide at the Ishigaki port. They just gave you a set of coupons for the ferry, boat, bus, lunch etc. They have different people to pick you up at the different point and they combined different tour groups. As I do not understand Japanese, I have difficulty trying to comprehend the instructions. Fortunately I survived thanks to one of the tour group members who helped me out. It is a pleasant and interesting tour, especially the boat ride. There are many interesting and unique plants and flowers in Yubu Island which I have never seen before. It is something that I like. Just that I feel that SGD $160+ is a little expensive. Perhaps the cost of living is that high in Ishigaki.
The guy who takes the tickets at the service desk can speak Chinese, which saves you a lot of worry. The itinerary was also compact, and all the local service staff during the process were very patient and the experience was great.
The journey was smooth, and the guide's stories were interesting and informative. I think the cost performance is good considering all transportation costs are included.
In fact, they were all wrong. Some staff at the flying terminal actually spoke Cantonese. It was the most important project. The mangroves and cars went to Yufu Island. There were explanations in Japanese. However, the explanation was in full Japanese but very detailed. It ’s hard, but when I see the ground is pulled for 1 turn, I let go and take a rest, and only the hair color makes a good order. I think it ’s normal to have a lot of work and return to work every day. Better
Fortunately, the itinerary itself was a bit boring. It was not the fault of the staff. Yubu Island itself had nothing to see except the water buffalo carts, and there was nothing interesting to take pictures of when taking a boat to see the mangroves. After you collect your ticket according to the time, the staff will briefly introduce the itinerary, and then you can take various means of transportation according to the ticket time. The bus and boat tour guides will introduce some things about Iriomote Island, but other times you basically just walk around by yourself. The lunch food is normal and not unpleasant.
The traffic line is a bit unfortunate, but it's a very special experience. It's fun to ride Alistar.
The itinerary is not compact and has local characteristics, the transportation connection is smooth, and the lunch dishes are rich and delicious. This is a must-attend item when traveling to Ishigaki Island.
If you make a reservation through a travel agency at Ishigaki Port, you can save a lot of money. I didn't know, so I made a reservation, but since it is a self-guided tour that you have to go on your own, it is better to find out and go on your own.
Local tour guide was very caring despite we do not speak Japanese. Cruise, lunch and buffalo ride were all great and suitable for kids and elderly alike. It would be even greater if English audio guide can be provided for the cruise 😊
