From July to September, the King is absent and the public is allowed inside, and this was my first time inside. Even though we had bought tickets in advance, we had to wait in a very long line, and we waited about 20 to 25 minutes. When it was finally our turn, we brought along a disabled family member in a wheelchair, so after we told them we wanted to borrow a wheelchair, everything went smoothly. We didn't have to wait in line at the general gate, but instead entered the main gate with a cart for the whole family, went through security at the back door, and then took a shortcut by elevator to move smoothly. All the staff were very kind and supportive, and we had a lot to talk about. It was definitely worth seeing. It takes at least 2 hours. The taxi pick-up points in the area are quite far away, so it was difficult to walk with elderly family members. We walked for about 25 minutes.

This is a fantastic experience. I felt privileged to be allowed into a beautiful palace that I have only ever been able to admire from the outside since I was a child. The system to collect tickets and finally enter is a little disorganised and you have to wait quite a while before entry as it’s incredibly busy. Please note there are NO toilets before entering until you get to the very end of the tour. audio guides were very informative and helpful!

You need to present your voucher first, go to the ticket exchange office to redeem the ticket, and then go through the check at the entrance to visit. There is a free interpretation machine inside Buckingham Palace that you can borrow, which is very convenient, and the interior is also very beautiful. Notice! But you can’t take pictures inside! Staff will come and block you and ask for deletion.

It is convenient and quick to exchange tickets on site, but you must enter according to the appointment time, and it takes a little time to queue for security check. The audio guide is available in Chinese, so you can visit at your own pace. It is recommended to buy tickets online in advance.

You need to queue up to go through the security check, but it's very fast. You can't take pictures inside Buckingham Palace. It takes about half an hour to an hour inside. It's a great experience.
