We booked our tour for 9.30am; the night before we receive a text to say there may not be a guide and we can cancel or accept 3-4 am instead with complimentary lunchbox! We were obv not at all happy and reluctantly accepted 4am. We then get a text after some time confirming they now have a guide for us and arranged our pick up for 6.25 am which was better. Pick up was on time and once we arrived at the minibus at a diff point we left at 6.40 am arriving at Auschwitz for about 8ish. Once parked up we were given our tkts/pass and went through security n met with our tour guide Daria. Daria was amazing! she talked slowly n clearly and really knew her stuff. she was able to answer questions too. After Part 1 Auschwitz we had a short break for lunch which we were very surprised at as the lunchbox was very good! fresh sandwich, cake, choc bar, water, juice n fruit; perfect👌 Then off to Part 2 Birkenau. It was all in all a very good tour and worth every penny!
It was super unforgettable and a must-see attraction in Krakow. I saw the traces of history with my own eyes and listened to the heartbreaking stories of the concentration camps. It was very shocking.
It is amazing to see. A great and mesmerizing experience. If the guide can slow down for the slower walkers and give us some time to actually take a look will be great.
we booked the tour with hotel pick up instead of us waiting at the designated meeting point. although it is a bit more expensive when choosing this method but not having to walk to the meeting point in the cold is a truely bonus.
the guide was very passionate and clear in communication. his English is easy to understand and he knows the history. the pick up communication was also clear and easy to follow. the only downside is the lack of food in the area and the very inflated prices for limited food choices. only one store has cooked food and the rest are snacks that cost 3x more than city. cheetohs cost 20pln a bag
The best tour experience I have ever had. The driver pick me up. There are English tour guide to show us around.
very informative tour, tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable. driver messaged me the day before to confirming. he also messaged me when we was on his way. everything was easy.
Joining a local tour to the concentration camp near Krakow was a deeply moving and educational experience. The guide provided detailed historical context, making the visit both informative and reflective. Walking through the preserved grounds was sobering, offering a powerful reminder of the atrocities of the past. The tour was well-organized, and having a knowledgeable guide added depth to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to understand this important chapter of history.
I visit the Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau where is full of sad history. However, our tour guide, not sure if he was in hurry or what, he just talked and walked very fast, most of the time, he/our group even passed through other 1 or 2 groups ahead....I wasn't even able to read the messages showing on the walls and the description of each item/area as we needed to chasing his speed/steps! I really wanted to read every single wordings on the walls & all those descriptions because I will only visit this camp/museum once in my lifetime! As I looked at the words on the wall, feeling the sorrow and despair of the people who lived here back then, I had to stop just as my emotions were beginning to rise, because I needed to keep up with the tour guide's pace and speed. My roommate bought ticket directly from the museum and she told me her guide was very good & always wait for the group to finish browsing each detail. She told me she was moved by every piece of history in the concentration camp.
The guide provided very detailed explanations. It's a highly recommended tour because you'll learn about the heartbreaking history in detail.
