Iriomote Island: Half-Day Barasu Island Boat Snorkeling Experience (Okinawa)

It was my first time on Iriomote Island, and I was moved by the power of nature! Matsuko's guide was very easy to understand, and I was able to enjoy the tour with peace of mind. This is my first trip to Ishigaki. There are many tours in Ishisaki, but I was really glad to choose this tour. All the guides are so kind and nice. Especially the yume ゆめ team, they made my trip so satisfying. Thank you for making such a great memory in my life. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to yume ゆめ. This trip was so much fun, and our tour guide, Kaji, was incredibly thoughtful. He took us to so many beautiful coral reefs and helped us take tons of pictures. We even went to Barasu Island. The weather in Ishigaki was perfect, and the photos we took looked like something out of a dream.

This tour is super safe where you’ll wear wetsuit and life jacket, which makes it impossible to drown, there’s also a huge bouy for you to hold on when you’re on the sea. It is also very beginner friendly where the guide explains how the use the snorkeling equipment thoroughly, kudos to the guide Taro👍 water is super clear!

Among all the companies I've used, this one was top-notch. I asked to see sea turtles, and they found them for me beautifully. Thank you very much!

The experience was canceled due to a tsunami alert, but the guides offered us alternative activities, and I still had a great day despite the cancellation. Thank you very much!

I worked with an extremely friendly guide. He spoke English well, so there was no problem communicating. He was a kind and bright person. However, I didn't see a turtle. I would like to use that company's tour again next time. thank you

The snorkeling time was a bit short, and not enough attention was paid to the group members who are not good swimmers. I was still helping to take care of them.

The tour duration is 2h which includes 40mn for people to (I) sign papers not asking them if they know how to swim but their next of kind, blood type, etc... as in too many places in Asia and (II) learn how to put on a swimsuit and « how to use » a snorkeling mask & tuba. The 2 « spots » were obviously not part of my top 10 for snorkeling as they are few hundred feet from the shore and mostly constituted of dead corals with few fishes. Expect 30% of « not good swimmers » holding firmly the boys and not putting their head in the water. yet I have to recognized that the staff was great and tried to make the experience as fun as possible and the turtle we saw was cute!
