The building is well worth seeing and the audio guide, which can be downloaded for free, makes it even more interesting to walk through all the rooms. The staff are extremely friendly and the cream tea after a long walk tastes delicious.
What an interesting and glorious insight to the grandeur and history of Blenheim palace. There was also an excellent exhibition of what life could have been like in the working quarters and kitchen area of the downstairs staff, with detailed displays and realistic soundscapes. The facade of the building was under major renovation, but they thoughtfully gave visitors access, via climbing the external scaffolding, to have a rare & unusual view of the reno site and an unusual view of the front walls, decorative sculptures and roof of the palace.
We loved our day out at Blenheim Palace. An amazing historical masterpiece. 5 stars!
A very beautiful royal palace, with an incredibly large and gorgeous garden. The interior isn't as opulent as Windsor Castle, but it's well worth a visit. If you have time, take a stroll through the garden. In August, the cool breeze is a real treat!
I bought tickets from Klook, and when I arrived at the gate, I wanted to get a guided tour machine with Chinese commentary. However, the staff refused to let me have one. A Chinese woman next to me loudly said, "I paid for it, so I can get a Chinese guided tour machine." Then, I checked my Klook voucher, which didn't say whether I could or couldn't get a Chinese guided tour machine. In other words, the Klook notes didn't include anything about not being able to get a Chinese guided tour machine. So, I had to pay out of my own pocket to buy a Chinese guided tour machine to use. However, Klook stated that this activity was all-inclusive, just excluding a tour guide. This was very confusing to me because it was really awkward when I couldn't get one, and the Chinese woman next to me proudly said, "I paid for it, so I have a Chinese guided tour machine."
I was hesitant to go because the admission fee was a bit expensive, but I went without much thought and it was a wonderful place. It was even better because I got a discount from Klook. There was even a Harry Potter tree in the garden, so I enjoyed the tour.
I went with my family. Buying tickets was very easy, and we got in smoothly.
Very convenient, just present the electronic voucher for admission.
