Sichuan Opera Face Changing Ticket - Shuyu Theater

About an hour show. Mix and match of stand up comedy (before the show), mini opera stories, tea pouring, poi, shadow finger puppets, fire breathing, and mask changing. We called about 30min before (supposed to be 1 hour before), staff asked us to come down. Found the space based on other reviews (it's the building near Luckin Coffee). Our language skills are conversational, so we just enjoyed the physical show. Tea not included, but can be bought.

The performance process is well designed, the actors' performances are wonderful, it combines traditional classics with innovative techniques, and the interactive segments are very interesting. It is highly recommended.

Apart from the difficulty in finding the place and positioning, everything else is fine. It is within Wenshu Monastery, not as the address describes.

The Shuyi Theater on Jinma Street has excellent performances, but after purchasing online, you must go to the store in advance to reserve a seat and pick up the paper check.

The Presentation is amazing, and the place"s infrastructure is good. There is no tea or food included. The address and time of the presentation are not right and we had a hard time figuring it out. The best way if you don't speak chinese is to ask the hotel reception to call one of the 3 numbers available in the notes. The time was 19:30 and the place is located in front of "Shan Bake" and just by the side of "fantastic Theater". To reach the theater you must go up to 2nd floor via some stairs. Important: The address, phone number and show times are missing. When we arrived, they didn't want to give us a seat at the 7:30 pm show, just out of pure malice. In the end, they gave us the seat when we insisted. They make it seem like they don't want tourists. The show was nice. There is no food, no fruit, no soft drinks, they only offer tea for an additional fee.
