Reviews
It's a little far from Kiyomizu Temple, but it's very convenient near Kyoto Station. Buses 86 and 206 are just across the intersection. The pick-up staff are very friendly and there is no problem in communication. There are many choices of styles and they will also provide good matching suggestions. The skills are very good. They quickly completed the dressing and hair and makeup, making the children very happy. Thank you very much. Ai Kimono gave us very happy memories.
The location is very convenient. It is right at the subway exit of Kyoto Station. It is convenient to take photos anywhere. The staff are polite and enthusiastic. The children are very happy, especially the hairstyle is very careful. I will rent a kimono here next time.
I was later for 15 minutes as I missed the bus. The staff was so kind to email me asking if I have issue finding the shop. There are actually 2 outlets; one at Kyoto station and another one near the temple. The staff transferred my name over and assisted me in choosing a kimono that matches me. I’m happy that the local praised my kimono and how it’s nicely tied up.
Loved the friendly and attentive staff. Great selection of kimonos and traditional outfits, for men, women and kids alike. Will be perfect if it comes with indoor stage sets for indoor photo shoots.
Lovely ladies with a wide range of kimono selections. They are very patient and help you pick beautiful kimonos along with styling your hair and other accessories
It was a very lovely experience, the ladies were very nice and kind. They helped me to pick a Kimono and matching Obi. The hairstyling was great. The staff also speaks great English!!! The location is across Kyōto Station, so perfect for a short stop before you move to other tourist attractions! Thank You for this wonderful experience and making a Childhood Dream come true 🩷
There are Chinese-speaking staff, and the teachers are also great. They always ask if you're still okay during the process and give advice. I'll come again next time!😍
We arrived 25 minutes early, and since there were no other customers, we were able to pick out and change into outfits right away. 👍🏼 The staff was there to help with selecting clothes, changing, and hairstyling. The selection wasn't huge, maybe around twenty pieces. The staff inside spoke Japanese and Mandarin (didn't seem to respond much to English), so communication was manageable.😆
The rental time was a bit vague, but I was very satisfied because they took great care of everything from hair styling to clothes styling. However, my daughter had a hard time because it was hot. I think it would be better to experience it in slightly cooler weather.
Awesome! I would definitely come back next time, I really like the overall service!!!
