Reviews
Our tour guide Eva and another guide (apologies, I don’t remember her name — she is Japanese-German), together with the driver, provided excellent service throughout the trip. Even though it was a packed Sunday tour group, they remained calm and communicated everything clearly and in detail. The entire trip was very well organised, and the guides were both knowledgeable and friendly.
This tour is highly recommended! Even though I didn't pay for castle tour (worth 42 EUR to be paid by card only), i still enjoyed staying outside of the castles. There are lots of picturesque places outside both castles
Monica is very detailed in all the tour explanation. we had a very memorable experience at the castle. highly recommended to purchase indoor ticket since you are already there. Sandro our driver drive us safely back and forth to our destination.
The guide Anna speaks eloquently and shares interesting stories. She ensures the group understands the tour as there's also tour members of other languages and she can speak in their language as well.
The tour was excellent especially for solo travelers. The tour guide (Faizan) explained everything and offered helpful tips throughout the experience. The meeting point is easy to find. This tour doesn't include the entrance fees for both castles, which are 42 euros for adults. No lunch as well but he will recommend a restaurant in the Neuchwanstein area. TIP: Come early so u will have the front seat of the upper deck. You will have a 180-degree view 180 degrees.
More than enough time to explore the area. I opted to not buy the tickets and enjoyed the view from the outside. Comfortable bus ride. Arrive early to secure your seating on the bus as it fills up very quickly. Everyone was early and the bus filled up and we left 15 mins earlier than the scheduled timeframe. Free toilets near the entrance of both castles otherwise mainly paid toilets.
The tour guide was incredibly professional and attentive throughout the trip. The schedule was well-paced, and we received helpful tips for sightseeing and meal options that made everything smoother and more enjoyable. Great experience overall!
First of all, thanks to Merlin, our guide, for explaining everything so clearly in English, making it easy to understand and creating enjoyable memories! I was very satisfied with the relaxed tour schedule. The guide who introduced us to Linderhof Palace was also excellent. With a voice and pronunciation like a TOEIC listening section, they explained everything so calmly that even those who aren't fluent in English could easily understand. We didn't get off the bus in Oberammergau but simply passed through, enjoying the sights. At Neuschwanstein Castle, we were given plenty of time, including lunch, to enjoy everything. Keep in mind that Neuschwanstein Castle offers Korean audio guides, and admission times vary depending on your ticket, so listen carefully to your guide and take notes! I ate lunch at a restaurant recommended by Merlin, and it was so delicious that I ate a lot, haha. The guide doesn't enter the castle with you, but they keep an eye on everyone at the entrance, providing explanations and ensuring no one gets left behind. They also carefully checked on everyone at the restaurant. And the bus driver! Excellent driving and excellent beverage service. Water, drinks, and beer are expensive to buy outside, so buy them on the bus! Regular water and drinks were €2, and beer was around €2.50! Be sure to try the lemonade drink sold on the bus; it's delicious. Thanks to the guide and driver, I had a safe and enjoyable trip to Füssen. Thank you so much. Vielen Dank 💕
Went on a solo adventure and joined this day tour! My guide was Sven and he was very helpful and great in sharing the history of the castles with the tour. Itinerary was great as it covered 2 castles, but the time was very tight in between. Tour group was about 75 people. Due to the crowd, there was barely any time for lunch because there were queues everywhere, from the shuttle bus, to the very limited restaurants and to Mary’s bridge. Recommended to pack your own food in case you don’t manage to grab anything for lunch. More time could have been allocated at Neuschwanstein castle. Other than a little tight timing, the views of the country side was splendid.
I was satisfied with the itinerary. It was great that drinks and coffee were available for purchase on the bus, along with USB charging ports and a restroom. Our tour guide, Juliana, provided clear instructions, and both palaces were worth visiting. There wasn't much free time at Neuschwanstein Castle. If you want to sit down at a restaurant for a meal, it will be very rushed. We simply had hot dogs 🌭 and then lined up at the bus stop to wait for the shuttle bus. Walking takes about 40 minutes. The shuttle bus is €3.50 per person, and a horse-drawn carriage is €8 per person. Both require waiting in line, and after getting off, you still need to walk for another 15 minutes. We waited about 35 minutes for the shuttle bus 😰 because we chose it for the opportunity to take pictures at Marienbrücke (Mary's Bridge). It's important to note that the castle's entry time slot is only 5 minutes. For example, if your tour is at 15:20 (3:20 PM), you can only enter between 15:20-15:25. If you're late, your ticket will be voided, so you must arrive at the castle entrance on time. I recommend this tour because the map and convenience mean you don't have to research transportation yourself, and you can visit two palaces in one day!
