I forgot that my first tickets were for two people and had been canceled, so no matter how many times I scanned them at the machine, they wouldn't work! My Japanese sister took me to the service counter to ask for help, and thankfully, they printed physical tickets for me 😄. The service counters in Japan are really great; they get everything done in one go 👍, and I was able to get on the train without any problems. I think this experience reminded me that I have to delete canceled tickets so I don't waste too much time messing around in front of the machine!

Due to my own carelessness, I wasn't able to exchange the tickets successfully because I scanned a QR code that had already been canceled. Thankfully, with the help of a friend, everything was completed smoothly, and I finally got the physical tickets sorted out.

My husband & I had a great & wonderful experience with Kyoto & Nara tour. The Arashiyama itinerary places like the bamboo forest & gardens were beautiful. The Sebon Torii is also a great place to see. Thanks to our Tour guide Cristine & Mr. Choi who were both great, pleasing, accommodating & very knowledgeable of the places we’ve been through.

I had an amazing time with my friends on our trip to Kyoto and Nara. We visited all the famous spots, and let me tell you, the kobe beef hot pot was to die for! It was absolutely delicious. We had a great time exploring these beautiful cities. Our tour guide, Harry, was fantastic. He was super knowledgeable and really took care of us. He explained the itinerary in detail, gave us some great tips on the area, and was always there to take photos for us. He’s a true gem and made our trip even better. If you’re looking for a great day tour to Kyoto and Nara from Osaka. I highly recommend it!

The hotel's exterior design is modern, and the front desk staff is very helpful. The lobby gives the impression of being more than just a 3-star hotel; it has 4-star quality! The rooms are very spacious, providing an overall comfortable feeling. The bathroom design is pleasant and has ample space. I initially thought there were no personal toiletries, but they were cleverly stored! Highly recommended!

Tips for Visiting Nara Park

Respect Nara's Deer

The bowing deer in Nara Park are famous because they are super friendly and will come to you for a treat! But remember that they are still wild animals. During mating season, some male deer can become aggressive, so it's important to stay calm and move slowly around them. Always show respect to the deer to make sure everyone has a great and safe time.

Dress Comfortably

Nara Park is a big place, and you'll want to explore as much as you can. Wear comfy shoes and clothes you can move around in easily because you'll want to explore the park's many walking paths. These trails lead to interesting spots like shrines and temples. On hot days, a hat and some water will help you stay cool and keep you energized as you explore. You don't want anything to slow you down!

Plan Your Visit

Before heading to Nara Park, check out any special events that might be happening. A unique event to catch is the 'deer calling' or "shikayose," where you can see the deer gather when a horn is blown. This happens on winter mornings at 10 AM from February to mid-March and on Sundays during the summer.
