I wholeheartedly recommend this place! ❤️ It was an incredible adventure and a truly unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever. The photos turned out absolutely phenomenal like true works of art and will be a beautiful keepsake for a lifetime. The photographer was amazing, paying attention to every detail, giving helpful guidance, and making the whole moment even more special and filled with emotion. The staff was incredibly kind, and everything went smoothly in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. If you’re planning a visit to Kyoto, I highly recommend booking this experience. it’s a memory you’ll treasure forever! 🌸

This was truly an unforgettable experience me and my four friends rented kimonos from here and we’re able to take the most memorable pictures at the temple. This is definitely something you have to do when you come to Kyoto and this company is the best company to do it with! Thank you!

The kimono shop is very easy to find, located on the 2nd floor of a building near the subway station. As soon as you enter, staff will greet you and provide a seamless, attentive experience. There are many staff members who speak Chinese, so you don't have to worry about communication issues. When choosing a kimono, a Japanese grandmother also provides styling advice. However, we wanted a more vibrant, contrasting style, so we didn't follow her suggestions (thank you to the other staff for helping to communicate with the grandmother, as she was quite insistent on traditional styles, haha). We arrived around 10:30 AM, and it wasn't too crowded yet. The whole process, from start to finish, took about 30 minutes. While taking photos, we were asked where we rented our kimonos, and that's how we met new friends who went directly to the kimono shop (we unintentionally became walking advertisements!). The staff at the kimono shop are all super nice and create a very welcoming atmosphere, from the Chinese-speaking receptionists to the two Japanese aunties who helped us dress in the kimonos. This was truly a perfect experience! We also took a lot of beautiful photos!

It was a rare and unforgettable experience. My daughter and I felt very happy. Although the weather was a bit hot, the underwear under the kimono was completely soaked. We found this store on the Internet. The inside and outside of the store are the same as what we saw in the pictures. This store is also cleaner than other Yamato stores and has two floors with enough space for each customer. It feels very comfortable to enter and feel at ease wearing their kimonos. We arrived at the kimono store at the scheduled time and the staff greeted us very attentively and friendly. Because we had booked in the morning, they would record it in the book. As soon as we arrived, we checked the information in the book without downloading the QR code in advance. Some of them spoke Japanese and some spoke English. Knowing that we were from Hong Kong, the staff who spoke Mandarin came over to greet us immediately. They have many styles and colors of kimonos neatly hung on the counter. There are all kinds of men's, women's and children's styles. They even have the most expensive silk furisode. There are so many styles of kimonos that it is difficult to choose, but the staff will recommend you the right one and match it with a belt and handbag. We paid extra for a more elaborate hairstyle and the hairdresser carefully arranged our hair and matched it with a headdress. If you want to wear makeup, they also provide cosmetics. There is a separate room on the second floor and a special person to put on the kimono for us. We put it on layer by layer in an orderly manner. Most kimono shops require customers to return the kimono before 5 or 5:30, but this shop’s return time is 6 o’clock. If you want to go further to Gion or other shrines to take pictures, you will have plenty of time. I am very satisfied with this experience and the money spent is not too much. I would recommend this kimono shop.

WOW! This service was incredible! my sisters and I felt very cared for (even as English speakers with next to no Japanese). it was very affordable and the staff was all very lovely. Phoebe helped me with my hair, and she was so sweet and did such a beautiful job! Evedyone traveling to the Asakusa Area, please rent your kimonos from here! ps, this rental facility is on the second floor, very close to the train station and right across from the big hello kitty!
