They quickly helped us change into our outfits and printed photos for us as a souvenir. In addition, we could take home the kimono bag and split-toe socks, which was awesome. I was contemplating how to make meaningful memories, so I booked and visited. I arrived a bit earlier than the opening time, but they greeted me with smiling faces and even brought out a chair so I wouldn't have to stand, which made me feel good from the start. I didn't really have a specific design in mind, but I got recommendations and tried on clothes. I only tweaked the broad strokes, and I was grateful that the staff took the time to consider and choose clothes that suited me. I was a bit disappointed that the selection of men's kimono designs was a bit smaller compared to other clothing stores, but I still left with many good memories.

The physical ticket can be collected at the Kyushu station windows upon arrival. In addition to the Yufuin no Mori train requiring advance seat reservations, I was able to reserve Shinkansen seats at the machine the day before visiting Kumamoto Castle and Kokura! Easy booking through Klook. Super easy redemption at the airport. Seat reservation: No problem at the machine. But not always necessary, sometimes we just rode in the unreserved car. Staff always very friendly. We used it in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima. Everything worked out great.

The 2-day Kyushu SunQ Pass is a great value, allowing you to ride buses throughout northern Kyushu. Activate it by entering your email address; you'll receive a password via email. Use this password to unlock the code, which starts the activation. You can then use it to reserve buses to other cities.

I used this pass to travel to Kurume and Kokura. I've been to Shimonoseki twice before, so I skipped it this time. Kurume wasn't actually in my plans, but a train happened to be there, so I just hopped on for a 'P's Trip' and searched online to see the giant Buddha statue. For reference, you can take bus number 31 or 35 (310 yen) from Kurume Station and walk for 5-10 minutes. Then, the next day, I went to Kokura to eat burdock root udon and go shopping at 2nd Street, lol. Fukuoka is expensive, so Kokura has more affordable brands. Especially Niko and... it's pretty and the vintage items are cheap, so I found some great deals. If you feel a barrier in Fukuoka, you can shop for various things in Kokura, lol. When you take the train, they come to check your ticket, so you have to turn it on and show it on the internet. Sonic trains have unreserved seats in cars 4-7...

Convenient and the driver is very accommodating. No issues with safety

We had an amazing experience on this one-day tour covering Mount Aso, Kusasenri, and Takachiho Gorge. Everything was thoughtfully planned and well-paced, so the day felt relaxed rather than rushed. There was enough time at each stop to explore, enjoy the views, and take photos without pressure. Our guide, Jimmy Liu, really made the difference. He was extremely attentive and proactive, giving important reminders before each activity and sharing useful tips and tricks along the way. He was also very impressive in how smoothly he switched between Chinese and English, making communication clear and effortless for everyone in the group. Each destination was breathtaking on its own, but with Jimmy’s guidance, the trip felt even more special and stress-free. I booked the trip last minute so I wasn’t able to get the boat ride but I’d suggest to get that option if you can cause the waterfalls look breathtaking.
