Ninh Binh Day trips

Our family had an amazing experience in Ninh Binh! It is a combination of historical and ecological sites. We learned about Emperor Dinh's legacy at the Temple. We rowed our way to the mini caves of Trang An. And we hiked the summit of Mua Cave where we had a panoramic view of the province at night! Melody, our guide, also gave us time to cycle in the area. She gave us a lot of information and her humor is good. Our handsome driver was always smiling and pleasant. Thank you for a great experience!

This was a very good experience. The tour guide (Tiger) was superb and even took our pictures. The day we went it was very cold and we didn’t carry pullovers so we literally couldn’t distract ourselves from the cold. The cave boat ride was really mesmerising, beautiful caves and views. The boat ride was 2 hours & was splendid. The pagoda and hike to thd hills top was exhilarating as well. Food options were good . Indian & Vegetarian food was available. Definitely recommend this tour.

I enjoyed the tour. Pick-up was on time for designated location. Itinerary was good - not too rush for each location. Jenny was great at giving background story for each location. Area of improvement, perhaps on the safety aspect of the transportation. Seat belts not in place and the drive there was too fast…

Tour guide spoke very good English and was very friendly. We felt the bus driver was very safe. Good selection of activities. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal (very smoggy) our guide made the trip very enjoyable and worth it. He explained everything in depth with where we were. There was also different options for what you could do (for example, you could ride bikes or catch the bus to the next stop, then you had the option to climb Hang Mua or explore the town). Would highly recommend this trip

This is a must-do tour! I highly recommend the fantastic scenery of Trang An and Hang Mua. From the meeting to the transportation (regular bus), they paid a lot of attention, so even though it was a packed schedule, it went smoothly. Your physical strength is key. You have to climb 500 steps to Hang Mua. You also need a little courage to reach the summit. Even young children climb it, so if you take it easy, it takes about 40 minutes round trip. At first, I was considering a one-night trip, but a day tour seems to be enough. At Bai Dinh, you must use the electric car for round trip. There is absolutely no distance or time to walk out. You need to prepare 100,000 VND. The voucher states 50,000 VND for one way. I highly recommend Ninh Binh, and if you go to Hang Mua, I highly recommend climbing to the summit. The timing is sunset, so it's so fantastic.

Great experience with Hung! Funny guide, kind and caring. Trip is a bit quick through the first two experiences (Ancient Capital & Pagoda), but still good. Boat tour was beautiful - though that experience makes me sad that they couldn’t row with their legs. I saw some other boats that could. I rowed the entire time to try and help. The dragon mountain is tough! Less about the climb, but the stairs are slippery and the crowds are huge (even me going on dead season). I found that to be a bit dangerous. The lunch was okay. Made a few international friends that we’ll stay in touch with :)

The meeting point was difficult to find, and I was flustered going back and forth. Because it was a hotel very close to the Grand Church, I mistakenly assumed they would pick me up from the hotel. The tour was in English. I only understood about 30%, but I managed somehow. The reasons I chose this tour were that it goes to Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, and Mua Cave, includes cycling, and returns to the hotel at 5:30 PM. As a result, I didn't get back to the hotel until 7:30 PM, but the two-hour boat ride in Tam Coc was still sufficient, and when I asked to be dropped off near the Grand Church on the way back, they fulfilled my request, which showed how adaptable the wonderful guide was. I was able to climb the 500 steps, which were almost a cliff, to the higher point, even though I'm 56 years old and my knees are a little sore. But I was drenched in sweat, so maybe it would have been better to spend more time relaxing in the countryside. Overall, this tour was an absolute bargain at $4400!

The tour guide seemed too young and didn't really control the group well. Also, while they were called a tour guide, they didn't actually introduce the history of each location. This was a very different experience compared to other tours I've taken in Vietnam. The worst part was that after dropping everyone off at each location, they didn't mention a meeting time. When I asked the tour guide what time we'd meet, they just replied that they'd be waiting at that spot, and the voice was so quiet that not all the tour group members could hear. So, the entire day was spent waiting for other tour members to return to the group, plus it was a holiday, so there were tons of other tour groups at each location! Because our group arrived late to the restaurant for lunch, we only had half an hour for lunch, which felt very rushed and uncomfortable. The bike ride after lunch is really unnecessary. The bikes were super bad, and the roads were super bad too. It's skippable. The only complete experience during the whole trip was the boat ride. The Mua Cave at the end was just a big question mark. We paid money to enter, but we could only stay for 40 minutes. There was no time to climb up, even though the park was really beautiful. It was such a pity we couldn't go up because we'd be late. Again, regarding the final meeting time to return to Hanoi, we waited in the car for 40 minutes because other tour members were late. The whole experience really felt like we spent 2/3 of the time waiting for people! If you're going to spend a whole day on this, I recommend booking a small group or a private tour. You really get what you pay for!

We were very excited about this day trip and Cosy Vietnam did not disappoint! The minibus was super comfortable, and we loved being a small group of 9 people. Our guide James was such a sweetheart, and he took great care of us and gave us so much information about Vietnam’s history! We loved the easy bike ride to the temple, lunch was incredible and the boat tour was mindblowing — Mua cave was the cherry on top of the cake; it was a bit crowded but we got there for Golden Hour and it was breathtaking.
