Upon arriving at the stargazing spot, the staff had each member lie down on a lounge chair and provided a thick blanket (the temperature was only a few degrees, very cold). The first step was to observe with the naked eye, and the staff used a celestial pointer to point to the starry sky while explaining astronomical knowledge to us. After viewing with the naked eye, we used a telescope 🔭 to stargaze. There were two telescopes, and the pictures are mostly taken with the smaller one (small, but very powerful). We saw Jupiter's stripes, the Milky Way, a gentle close-up of the moon, and the stars around the Southern Cross, etc. I was so moved that I wanted to cry. Seeing it in person is so much better than in the photos, because you feel like they are alive, they are moving, they are blooming ⭐ The staff also provided everyone with a cup of hot chocolate during the process, and took photos of each team member as a souvenir. Finally, we all gathered around the stove to roast marshmallows 🍡 and happily ended my stargazing trip ~ 🤗

The stargazing program was very fun and interesting. The guide was nice and upbeat. We rode the bus to a stargazing place, and when we looked up, the sky was full of stars. It was very beautiful.

it is amazing and unforgettable helicopter ride. we have booked 3 times but all has been cancelled due to weather started from Fox glacier, Queenstown and finally at Mount Cook we made it happen. thanks Klook and it is easy to book. high recommended to those interested.

The starry sky is beautiful and the weather isn't too cold. I'd highly recommend visiting Tekapo. However, later on the clouds got a bit thick and the moon was a bit bright, which affected the stars. I suggest staying two nights, as you'll have a better chance of seeing the stars.

You must join this tour when you visited Mt cook , you could try both Helicopter and ski plane in one time( Go by Helicopter and return by ski plane or reverse）. Very great experience to land the glacier , we could touch and walk on the snow , it’s funny indeed ! experience:

The whole tour was amazing, although the itinerary was a bit hectic. Except for Mt. Cook, the other stops were quite short — just enough time to snap a few photos before moving on to the next spot. It’s understandable since the destinations are quite far from Christchurch. They also provided free lunch and snacks (chips), which was a nice touch

great experience and amazing view on the glacier, we hiked to an ice cave. The operator provides warm layers if needed. We felt very safe flying and hiking with them

I was really looking forward to the helicopter flight experience that was originally planned for this West Coast glacier tour. Unfortunately, the trip was canceled the day before due to bad weather conditions the next day, so we didn't go to check in. Although I was inevitably disappointed at the time, I must sincerely give the operator a good review. They proactively notified us of the cancellation in advance, explained everything clearly, and put safety first, which made us feel their professionalism and responsibility. What's even more commendable is that the refund was processed very quickly, the process was transparent and smooth, without any delays or excuses, allowing travelers to adjust their subsequent itineraries with peace of mind. And this trip didn't leave any regrets. We switched to hiking local trails to viewpoints, looking at the glacier and mountains from the ground. Clouds flowed through the valleys, and the snow-white glaciers loomed, the grandeur and tranquility of which were equally shocking. We lost the aerial view, but gained a feeling of being closer to nature and slowly appreciating the beauty of the West Coast mountains. Weather is uncontrollable, but professionalism and integrity can be chosen. This is a company worth trusting. If I visit the West Coast of New Zealand again, I would still be willing to book again and make up for that unfinished flight experience. My family and I attended the midnight session on the 27th of January 2026. Right away we knew this was going to be special as the night sky was completely clear for the first time in two weeks. The moon set shortly after we left Lake Tekapo on a drive up to Mt John, which took about 15 minutes. Our guides were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what we could see, and all of us came away in awe of the majesty of the night sky visible in the dark sky reserve. Definitely one of the memorable sights of our whole trip!
