Techniques & Secrets Behind the Famed Vietnamese Egg Coffee

I really enjoy participating in workshops when I come to Vietnam. It's a great way to learn more about Vietnamese food and how to make it. Making egg coffee with instructor Tom was easy, and the steps were clear. It's helpful to memorize the steps a little, as the numbers in the recipe PDF provided after the class are slightly different. The history of egg coffee was also explained clearly, making it a very insightful and relaxed activity. The whole thing takes about an hour, and you even get a certificate at the end – I know students really appreciate that. There are also promotional coffee bean sets available for students to buy, and you get a coffee discount coupon. I recommend ordering a different coffee after the workshop. I give this experience a very high rating.

This activity is highly recommended for coffee lovers! You'll learn more about the background of coffee in Vietnam and how the egg coffee came about. The instructor will first demonstrate how to make the egg coffee, and after doing so, they'll give you the opportunity to try making one by yourself. They'll guide you every step of the way and is happy to assist/answer any questions you might have regarding the activity.

It’s so much fun! Highly recommend everyone to experience it! I never forgot the egg coffee after I visited Hanoi before. During this experience, Truc kindly explained the history of Vietnamese coffee culture and the origin of egg coffee. With their recipes, everyone can easily make delicious egg coffee. What’s even more amazing is that at the end of the event, everyone got a certificate of completion! It’s so thoughtful! If I come to Ho Chi Minh again next time, I will definitely come back🫶

A unique and amazing experience. We were grouped with locals working at a Vietnamese company who were looking into the whole process to extend to tourists. This was great because we interacted with them and got to hear their thoughts on Vietnamese coffee and its uniqueness compared to other coffees others typically consume. I love how patient and knowledgeable our guide was for this activity - Ny. She was very accommodating and helpful. This is definitely a must try as a touristy activity!

This activity was more interesting than expected as it introduced the origins of egg coffee and coffee history in Vietnam. The barista conducting the workshop was also very friendly and conducted the workshop in a fun way. Definitely would recommend it if you like coffee, or for family and friends. And each of us got a Polaroid photo of ourselves making the coffee - a very memorable touch

At the end of the egg coffee workshop, you will received a certificate of completion to keep as a memories. It was a wonderful experience because you don’t just learn how to make egg coffee but the history behind it as well. Joey, our instructor is very knowledgeable and gave great instructions to help us making great egg coffee. The facility is very hip and clean. It’s on the second floor of the building. After the class, you can buy the products to take with you. I strongly recommend this class if you love egg coffee.
