What to expect
Opened in 2023, InterContinental Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center is an international luxury brand hotel. The hotel's exterior is inspired by elements such as the Pearl River's sailing shadows, water patterns, and tides, with its silhouette resembling white sails navigating the sea, symbolizing the embarkation on a new voyage. Above the main entrance's waterscape, a magnificent "wave" sculpture, and large laser artworks in the lobby area depicting the city's layered脉络, blend urban history with avant-garde aesthetics, paying tribute to a miracle of development. The interior design concept of "Urban Oasis" runs throughout, creating a tranquil and relaxing urban haven by harnessing the vitality of the garden and manipulating natural light and shadow. The hotel boasts luxurious and smart guest rooms and suites, ranging from 50 to 280 square meters, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering multi-dimensional views, capturing the city's prosperity or the scenery of the Fuhai River. The guest rooms feature an office area, an open dressing room, and a bathroom, providing both transparency and privacy. The design language celebrates the city's changes and vitality, from the abstract geometric art on the headboard background wall expressing "city beats" to the "city silhouette" outlined by lines in the carpet patterns, with every detail showcasing ingenious craftsmanship and luxurious quality.

We are a family from S’pore living in HK. It’s easy to get to Intercontinental WECC Shenzhen Bao’an from HK. We took a direct bus from Langham Mong Kok to Hilton Garden Inn and walked about 7 mins to Intercontinental. Easy pleasant walk just across the bridge with a river. Booked the twin room and it’s spacious, clean, comfortable. Beautiful black white marbled theme and all the staff, from service desk, car conceirge, room service, buffet breakfast and dinner dinning experience was 10/10! My family of 2A2C+1 toddler felt very welcomed and was treated like well deserved guests. Impeccable services and attentiveness. Buffet was so good we went twice but my spouse had an episode of possible food poisoning from the oysters because the rest of us felt fine and he was the only one who ate that. Hotel was kind enough to extend our check out a little later to rest up before our ride back to HK. Thoughtfully did all they could to make us feel better. Despite it all, we still love the buffet!
Intercontinental always exceed my expectations! My family of 2A2C + toddler decided to go for a short vacation for pre cny family time, buffet was incredibly sumptuous, there was a bbq station, sashimi bar, live oyster opening, freshly made pasta, lamb rack, roast beef, delicious chinese soup, noodle station, kids friendly buffet section, juices, cold seafood like scallops, prawns, mussels, crabs etc. Cold drink fridge, wine etc. everything you could ask for in a buffet spread. The dessert section was my absolute fav! pastries and cakes were top notch, I was already full but the dessert still wowed me because it was so well made. Staff was very attentive, cleared plates frequently, and was ready to serve at a glance. Conceirge services for their car transportation was impeccable, I asked if I could booked a car for my family to Huafa snow BONSKI and when I requested 1pm ride, they promoted me that it closes early at 4pm due to the eve of cny and suggested an earlier ride. 10/10 for IHG
This is the second time I came to this InterContinental Hotel in the International Convention and Exhibition Center to celebrate the anniversary, and enjoyed the evening and morning buffets at [Yue Restaurant]. In addition to maintaining the front desk and room service of an international five-star hotel, we appreciate excellent dishes and high-quality catering services that make you feel at home. [Yue Restaurant] uses high-end and high-quality ingredients, exquisite presentation, and excellent cooking techniques to make people enjoy the dishes (including French sapphire oysters, Beef Wellington, foie gras, and slow-cooked Angus steak) , water fish, dragonfly, Chinese stew, mushroom soup, stone ground soy milk, etc.). In addition to several signature hotel dishes, "Master Huang's secret roujiamo" is highly recommended. It is very delicious and enjoyable. In terms of service, special praise goes to Haidi Zhang and Carlin Lin for providing us with cordial, attentive, proactive and professional catering services. They all took good care of my mother kindly and carefully, which made her feel very warm. The other staff in the restaurant, including the chefs in the kitchen, are very friendly and polite, and some even introduced the dishes to us in Cantonese. The only drawback is the desserts. I originally chose this hotel to celebrate the anniversary again because I was deeply impressed by the InterContinental's signature red velvet and original cheesecake desserts last year, but this time I was a little disappointed. Although the appearance and taste of the desserts are of the quality of a five-star hotel, they are not as amazing as last year. I remember that the same senior chef in black was in charge of the dessert department last time, but he was missing this time. Except for the missing red velvet and original cheesecakes, the taste of each cake is not distinctive enough (whether it is grapefruit, earl gray tea, osmanthus or pistachio, the taste is very similar), and the texture of the cakes is similar to mousse cake, which is relatively monotonous. Overall, I highly recommend the InterContinental Hotel and [Yue Restaurant] at the Convention and Exhibition Center. Thank you for the waiter's service.
Although the Hong Kong Cross-Boundary Coach doesn't stop directly at the hotel, there are stops at the nearby Huafa Ice and Snow World and Shajing Wanfeng Coast City. So, it was very convenient to have lunch and watch a movie at the mall before taking a car to the hotel. We just missed the free shuttle to Huafa, but calling a car ourselves was quite inexpensive, so it wasn't too late to enjoy dinner before heading over to play. The hotel service was excellent; they knew we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, so they upgraded our room and even sent a cake, which was very thoughtful 🥰. Plus, dinner was delicious and very satisfying 😆.
The hotel staff is polite and professional, and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. We had an all-you-can-eat dim sum set menu at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Choi Fung Lau. It was a Sunday evening, and there were only two tables of guests in the hall, so it was relatively quiet. The portion sizes of the dishes were just right; if you like something, you can order more. The servers were professional and frequently changed our plates and refilled our drinks. Although the portions were small, there were many varieties worth trying. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Breakfast: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hotel Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Transportation Convenience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
thank you for the very helpful staff we arrived very late ata round 7 pm at the hotel , and then we had buffet at 8 pm . they reheated many of the dishes for us ! so good
The overall accommodation experience is 10 points. The hotel has a novel design. There is a welcome drink for guests when they check in. They also get a free room upgrade and a welcome drink coupon. The front desk staff is warm and hospitable. The room is clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast and dinner are provided. There is a wide variety of food, especially the barbecue food that tastes great. I will stay here again if I have the opportunity.
Staffs at checkin counter was very nice and the room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast quality is quite gooooood 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼excellent !
kLook is worthy of praise. Other websites only sell single houses, but kLook includes a buffet of 2 large and 1 small, which is suitable for the needs of a large and small family! The InterContinental brand is well-deserved, the service is good, the rooms are beautiful, and the buffet dinner is even more praiseworthy! The score for this trip was 99.99. The only point deduction is the shortcoming of most mainland hotels, which is that the air conditioning is not enough, but the quilt for sleeping is too thick. I asked the hotel if they have thin quilts, but they don’t have them. I may ask for them next time I travel. Bring a thin quilt.
This hotel has a buffet dinner + breakfast package. The room is big enough and clean. Although it faces the opposite housing estate and has no view, the bed is big and moderately hard. However, I thought there was a coffee machine and bath salts from the previous guest reviews, but there was none. The central air-conditioning made it a bit hot until midnight. In addition, the buffet dinner has few varieties, no lobster, no beef Wellington, the instant sashimi is Korean, and it is gone as soon as it comes out. I waited a long time for refills. The sashimi is also cut into very fine pieces, with cold cut. The bread does not have soup, and the hot pot food is not very attractive. Instead, the dessert has my favorite taro balls, which is a surprise. I don't know what brand the ice cream is, and the taste is average. In short, the buffet dinner is very disappointing, but the breakfast in the morning is OK, the seafood porridge is delicious, and the cakes are also attractive. The hotel service is very good, but it would be more perfect if the buffet dinner can be improved.
