Reviews summaryWe had great experience, tour guide Danny was kind and gentle. Travel was smooth, vehicle condition was great and we were dropped right in front of our hotel. thanks. Will definitely recommend them when in Chiang Mai 😇
Good trip, beautiful temples. There were stops at decent places. Buffet lunch. Mixed feelings about the Long Neck village – a museum with living people. Entrance fee 300 baht. P.S. Be prepared to walk in the heat, bring sunglasses and hats. Also, I didn't always understand our guide's English, but maybe that's just me.
We will email you the exact pickup time a few days before your trip. We chose the 7:00 AM slot, and the new notification was for a 7:20 AM pickup. Although there was no contact information, which made me quite nervous 😓, the car arrived precisely at 7:20 AM! The tour guide was friendly. After confirming our information, we boarded the car. We needed to fill out some forms and provide passport numbers for insurance purposes. We were given a bottle of mineral water and a small snack. The car drove quite fast, so be careful if you get motion sickness! 📍I recommend buying a large bottle of mineral water from 7-11 to stay hydrated during the drive—it's very important!! On the bus, the guide gave a brief overview of the itinerary and history. We were given almost exactly 60 minutes at each attraction. ⬇️ ▪️8:20 AM: Arrive at Chiang Rai Hot Spring ♨️ for a short break. ▪️8:45 AM: Meet up. There's enough time to buy a coffee, a snack, or soak your feet. ❗️The hot spring water is really hot! The restroom costs $5, and toilet paper is provided inside. The restroom facilities are very old, but quite clean. ▪️8:55 AM: Arrive at the Long Neck Karen village. We didn't purchase this part of the tour, but one person in our group did. So, everyone had to wait for them for 40 minutes. You can also add it for $300. The restrooms are clean, free, but even older, and there's no flush valve. There's a large bucket of water inside the restroom for you to scoop and flush the toilet yourself 😂. There's not much to see at the entrance, so you can just rest. ▪️9:35 AM: Meet up and depart. It's about an hour and a half drive to the White Temple. ▪️11:10 AM: Arrive at the White Temple for free time. There's an art exhibition by the White Temple's designer, which closes at 12:00 PM. The guide suggested we go see it first, and it was well worth it! Every piece was surprising and incredibly detailed! I couldn't resist buying postcards 🥰. ▪️12:12 PM: Meet up and walk to the self-service restaurant across the street for a 40-minute meal. The hygiene was a bit concerning... I saw ants crawling in the cilantro at the condiment station, but many other dishes were quite tasty. I highly recommend the noodle soup in the corner! Everyone must order a bowl; it's freshly prepared ❤️ and super delicious 👍❗️The restrooms at the buffet cost money $. ▪️1:00 PM: Meet up and drive 20 minutes to the Blue Temple. The Blue Temple is relatively small but also spectacular! Walking around and taking photos, 40 minutes was a perfect amount of time. The restrooms are free 🆓. ▪️2:00 PM: Meet up and drive to the Black House Museum, arriving at 2:15 PM. As soon as we got off the bus, the guide bought delicious small pineapples 🍍 for everyone, one bag each—so cute! 💖 The museum interior is dark and mysterious, and there are more large black houses outside, which are also worth exploring. However, there are many animal bones and skulls, which are quite frightening... ▪️3:00 PM: Meet up and depart for a long drive. We arrived at a rest stop around ▪️5:00 PM, where we could use the restroom and buy snacks and drinks at the shops. ▪️6:30 PM: Arrive back in the Nimman area 🏠 (The guide mentioned on the way that we would pass Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center, and you could also get off there).
A long day (picked up at 7:30 and back at 8pm) but well worth it. We had not booked to go into long neck village but all the money goes back into the village so we decided to go & it was great. White temple is stunning & loved the black house.
It was a good tour overall! Ken was friendly and helpful! He tried his best in explaining all the details and history behind the places we visited. The journey to Chiang Rai is quite long but the van was comfortable and cooling. We did stops at few places for toilet & snack break along the way. There were sufficient times to visit and explore all the places as per the itinerary! I will consider booking again if I ever come to Chiang Mai and share it with my family and friends! Well done! 👍
I can fully recommend this tour. You will see lot of historical sights in Chiang Rai and of north Thailand. Vicky was a great guide as well. She provided a lot of cultural backstory of the the sights we saw and organised the trip wonderfully.
Tour was overall smooth with lots of places visited, including lunch buffet, which meant value for money. Our guide Vicki is very experienced and friendly. There was a plus point - we didn't opt for Karen Village but was still offered the choice to go in if we want (entrance fee excluded). There were quite a few cons - roads were windy (no choice), van was hot for those seated at the back (the aircon didn't reach far), the visit to Singha Park was very disappointing because didn't get to explore the park and animals at all, and the lunch buffet was not delicious. We reached back to Chiang Mai around 8pm.
Accommodation from tour guide Ms Pan and driver are good. Ms pan gave a little back ground of the places we went plus some interesting jokes during the 3 hours ride. in fact the black temple is a nice place to explore although some commented that not worth visiting. This itinerary consider good 👍
The whole experience was so wonderful and we visited majestic places. I also like the buffet style of eating for our lunch and not to mentioned our tour guide Vicky is so helpful and caring, she even gave us fresh pineapples for our snack.
Great day tour to the White Temple, Blue Temple (loved the butterfly pea ice cream!), and the Black House Museum. We also stopped by the hot spring and Long Neck Village, which was a nice addition. Our guide, Ken, was knowledgeable and gave clear, detailed explanations throughout the tour. Well organised.
