Got free admissions to this place and I genuinely was not expecting anything since I initially wanted to visit a diff one. This was a PLEASANT surprise. make sure to do the VR experience on the second floor! its right after the staircase.
This museum has a great ceramics exhibition on the first floor and goes into detail about religion in Asia on the second floor. There's so much to see I'd give yourself 2 hours to look around at the displays.
A very interesting and worthwhile afternoon spent at the Asian Civilisations Museum, housed in a beautiful old building. Recommend visiting this instead of the National Museum of Singapore which seems dated and behind the times. The volunteer who took me on the guided tour was also very enthusiastic and elevated my experience.
A great visit to River Wonders! Though not as popular as the Night Safari & Singapore Zoo, this place deserves a visit for its unique exposition on the fauna surrounding the rivers of the world. We had a great time and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Super accommodating staff! Enjoyed all the exhibits and the artifacts displayed. Super appreciated how the museum explores different facets of different cultures around Asia! 🫶 I recommend to allot at least 2 hours to fully enjoy your visit here. 😊
To make up for the historical holes that I didn’t learn in Taiwan, China’s porcelain and pottery are not just what you see in the Forbidden City, but also have a variety of different trade and cultural exchanges, and the styles of different regions are different. It’s really a flower, a world. I spent half a day shopping around the building, and the ticket price is very cost-effective. Compared with other ticket attractions 👍🏻 1. In addition to the Chinese introduction to each floor, there are QR CODEs in front of almost every exhibit for viewing. You can also choose Chinese or English on the website 2 . It is recommended that children should pay attention to the precautions before entering the museum. Do not run in the venue, do not make loud noises and disturb others. Just enjoy it in the museum👍🏻 3. There is an art gallery next to it. You can buy a package ticket when you have time. Good deal 4. In the evening, I went to take pictures with the Merlion. For light photography, I took a light tour for about half a day. For moderate tours, I chose one of the museums for about a day. For heavy or roaming tours, I could go to both museums for two days.
Highly recommended as always. Love the collection of artifacts, it was rich and very educational. The diverse but rich collection is what makes it different from other Asian museums I've been to. And of course, the view along Boat Quay is such a plus!!!
Really interesting experience and a lot of good artifacts. If you have extra 2-3 hours in Singapore - recommend to visit. especially for people who are interested in different religions.
