Easy purchase for tickets to permanent exhibition at Peranakan Museum. An enjoyable experience learning about the Peranakan culture in Singapore. Joyce, a volunteer guide was very informative and shared some of her childhood experiences from her peranakan culture during the free guided tour. Clean toilet facilities and lift access to all floors.
wonderful experience of guided tour. don't miss out the snow white batik and the kebaya nyonyas as well as the teak furnitures with carved out details. thank you.
The experience is good. Alot of peranakan artifacts on display. Just pay extra if you Want to see the beautiful batik Nonya exhibition
Very small & niche museum, regarding the culture of how immigrant communities such as the Chinese, incorporate other cultures into their way of life. Ticket was very easy to use. A ticket with a QR code is sent to you. All you need to do is show the staff, they will scan it and will give you a sticker you can put on your clothing to show you have paid for a ticket.
I learned a lot about the background and culture of the local Peranakan Chinese here. The museum has a souvenir shop, as well as restrooms and water fountains. The staff can speak Chinese or English. I recommend spending two to three hours visiting.
It's beautiful, and I was surprised by the 100-year-old pieces, which are in remarkably perfect condition. The place is clean, the air conditioning is cool, the restrooms are spotless, and the staff are all smiles.
The Peranakan Museum is a beautiful and meaningful place to visit in Singapore. It shows the rich culture, history, and traditions of the Peranakan community through clothing, jewelry, ceramics, furniture, and old photographs. The exhibits are well-arranged and easy to understand, making it interesting even for first-time visitors. I liked how the museum explains the mix of Chinese, Malay, Indian, and European influences in Peranakan life. The building itself is also elegant and peaceful. Overall, the Peranakan Museum is worth visiting because it helps you appreciate Singapore’s multicultural heritage in a simple, educational, and enjoyable way.
Easy access because of the digital ticket, very convenient, educational, helpful staff. Location is accessible too.
