Hobbiton Movie Set and The Green Dragon Inn Guided Tour

Really enjoyed the experience. Smooth van transfers to and from the Hobbiton site from Auckland and the vehicle is really comfortable. The tour guide on the hobbiton tour is really knowledgeable that you get to experience the full movie yourself. The movie set is unbelievably amazing and looks just like the movie.

Beautiful day at Hobbiton Movie Set. From pick-up to the tour itself and the trip back to Auckland, everything happened smoothly. Definitely worth the day tour!~ Too bad I couldn't go to the Waitomo Caves since I was a solo traveller (they need minimum 2 pax). It was like Microsort background in real life!!

Nestled in the lush hills of Matamata, New Zealand, the movie set is breathtakingly preserved and full of charm. From the colorful hobbit holes to the rolling green pastures, every detail was lovingly crafted to bring Tolkien’s world to life. The guided tour was informative and entertaining, offering behind-the-scenes stories from the films and plenty of photo opportunities. David, our tour guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Dave picked us up on time and was a fantastic guide! He didn’t just drive us but he also shared a lot of information about Auckland along the way. On the way back, he showed us a beautiful dam. Hobbiton itself was so beautiful and is a must see for any Lord of the Rings fan.

dave was a great driver going to hobbiton. his smooth voice sooths me. thats why i always fall asleep when he talks plus the driving was safe. the hobbiton set was great. though we havent watch the trilogy we still enjoyed the set because it is very realistic. the free beer also was great

This tour was amazing! Everything was good and it did run smoothly. The travel, driver, the car, the tour, the tour guide and the Hobbiton itself. Very worth it! The place was magical! ✨

I loved it! So worth it. The weather was so nice when we went. The driver who picked us from the hotel us very kind, and our tour guide inside the hobbiton is soooo good and funny! I will definitely go back next time! Thank you, it was a fun experience. 💕

Even though I've never seen Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, I still enjoyed my time here! The natural scenery is beautiful, and the entire village is built with great care, as if there are real hobbits living in it~ There are even houses for tourists to visit and take pictures! Highly recommend this trip!

The tour guide and driver were excellent and very enthusiastic. Hobbiton is definitely worth visiting; the scenery is incredibly cute and authentic! There wasn't much time for lunch on the itinerary, so you'll need to bring your own or buy some snacks at the Shire Rest Stop.

It was a bit expensive but it was amazing! Specially if you are LOTR/The Hobbit fan. Highlight of my trip to Auckland.
