There are some stops & Lao Cai station is the last stop. It is above 33km from Sapa. You'll need to take a transfer to Sapa, which is about a 50 minute drive away by private cars or 70 minute by shuttle bus (Minivan - Ford transit 16 seats ).

comfortable and less hassle if you want to go to sapa .this mode of transportation is a must
what a lovely experience, we payed for the 4 pax sleeper cabin but upgraded at the station for $32 to a private 2 pax cabin. we took the lunchtime train to take in the marvellous views. will absolutley do again
Booked a shared cabin on King Sapa Train from Hanoi to Lao Cai. Room was clean, beds were pretty cozy, it came with compliments snacks, bananas, coffee, teabags and water. They have a (cold/ hot) water fountain in the common area where you can make a hot drink. Toilets were kept clean all the time as well. The agent helped us with online check in and sent us via what’s app so it really save us a lot of trouble having to find the ticket counter and get physical tickets. Would recommend King Sapa Train.
The perfect option when your travel time is limited. We had a good sleep with our son and he enjoyed it more.

It might be difficult for sensitive people, but we had a great time. Just be prepared, it's an hour's drive from the station to Sapa city.
While the Sapa train had some drawbacks like noise and shaking, it was a new and unique travel experience. In particular, the overnight sleeper train provided quality and intimate time for our group, which was great.

The train was old and the four-person rooms were cramped. Thankfully, we paid to upgrade, and the two-person room was much better.
