Kyoto Amanohashidate & Ine Funaya Day Trip (Optional Tango Train and Miyama Route)

The day before the tour, an email will be sent with meeting information. We met at Nihonbashi Exit 2 early in the morning, where tour guide Momo was waiting for guests with a sign. Before arriving at each attraction, the guide provided explanations in multiple languages. At Amanohashidate, we walked near the sandbar (accessible by cable car); the water was very clear, and the scenery was peaceful and beautiful. The Ine Funaya boat tour (feeding seagulls and eagles) was a special experience suitable for both adults and children, though it was a pity we could only view the boathouses from a distance on the boat. Miyama-cho's thatched-roof village was a quiet place with little else to do but appreciate the local charm. This tour involved a longer drive, making the itinerary a bit tight, but there were opportunities to rest along the way. Including a day trip by tour bus during our free time in Osaka was a truly wise decision!

The most beautiful sights ever. Our guide was informative and helpful. Even though the time was limited, we still got to stop by 3 different sights with time for lunch designated. The cable car and cruise were absolutely worth it. The views were stunning from above and the cruise ride was amazing as well! Seagull feeding was fun and snacks are included!

Because the maple and ginkgo leaves fell early, I booked the trip the day before at the last minute. We met in Nihonbashi in the morning, and our tour guide, Guo Bi Ning, was a very easygoing young woman. First, we went to Amanohashidate, and the scenery from the cable car up the mountain was really beautiful. The top of the mountain is like a small amusement park! Chijiji Temple is next to the parking lot, and I used the time before the meeting to eat eel and Matsuba crab rice. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to buy the Matsuba crab sushi from the restaurant with the long queue. We also fed seagulls at Amanohashidate, which was a lot of fun. Later, we also spent a short time in Ine no Funaya and Miyama. The itinerary was full and the scenery was beautiful, making it a worthwhile trip. The tour guide also gave brief introductions to the attractions, and we were also lucky to meet a group of punctual tour members from all over the world.

Nothern Kyoto is absolutely beautiful and since it’s difficult to reach by yourself, a bus tour is very convenient. it’s far away so it will take some time to get there but you’ll manage to visit three beautiful spots! something very difficult if there was no bus tour.

A Wonderful Family Experience! Our family of four had an amazing time on this tour! The itinerary was well-paced and covered so many beautiful spots a mix of scenery, culture, and unique experiences without feeling rushed. We loved the seagull-feeding cruise at Ine Fishing Village out of the usual Osaka tourist itinerary surely a very memorable one, the stunning “Flying Dragon View” at Amanohashidate where we rode a chairlift up the mountain and cycle rail with a view, and the peaceful visit to Chion-ji Temple. Kayabuki no Sato was also a charming highlight very informative on their tradition and culture. A very special thank you to our tour guide, Apple, who was extremely generous, patient, and accommodating throughout the whole day. She made sure everyone was comfortable and truly elevated the experience for our family. She gave us extra food for the seagulls and even helped us find the lost gold earring of our mother. Highly recommended for families

I'm very grateful for our tour guide Apple's arrangements. The three attractions were quite far apart, but the itinerary was very well planned, and we didn't feel rushed. We also had plenty of free time at each spot. On the bus, Apple provided careful and professional explanations of the cultural history of the attractions, which helped us appreciate the local charm. The sights were also first-rate, especially Amanohashidate, which lives up to its reputation as one of Japan's three most scenic views. With the favorable weather, the view from Hiryu-kan was even more expansive. Of course, Ine, known as the Venice of Japan, was also lovely, and the jelly-like sea along the way was incredibly soothing. Finally, we visited Miyama, and we were lucky enough to avoid the crowds, so the village scenes we captured were very peaceful. Overall, I highly recommend this day trip, and I'm very grateful for Apple's company (I was surprised to learn that we're from the same hometown!).

I really enjoyed the trip. our Guide Eric seems to find the best time and best strategy and location.. we avoided the crowds, made it on time, enjoyed most of the highlights ... he made the trip. pleasant and not pushy... most importantly he ensured everyone is contactable so we feel safe with our time and enjoyed the trip ... highly recommended trip..

Amanohashidate was such a fun and scenic spot to explore in Kyoto! We took the cable car up the hill for an incredible view of the sandbar stretching across the bay then hop on a boat to cruise along the water. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone looking for a chill, scenic day trip. Our guide Takahashi is also very friendly and helpful. Thank you!!

Mr. Takahashi is truly enthusiastic. Compared to other tours, he was the first guide to arrive. He even used his own phone to help contact other tour groups and members who had already arrived, despite their guides being late and the other tour members being at a loss (and this happened with two groups!). It wasn't even his responsibility, but he was so kind and helpful, which is truly amazing and kind! All three spots were fun. Amanohashidate is great for taking pictures, and the pudding and ice cream are delicious. At Chion-ji Temple before taking the cable car, the Omamori charms and fan fortunes are cute and worth buying. In Ine, the water is clean and the scenery is beautiful. Feeding the seagulls and eagles is really exciting – I didn't want to get off the boat! Miyama Kayabuki no Sato is also perfect for taking pictures. Everything was enjoyable. Most importantly, I recommend bringing a neck pillow on the bus, as the rides are quite long. Mr. Takahashi suggests resting on the bus whenever possible. There are no TVs or music equipment on the bus, so you can bring your own snacks and neck pillow, and enjoy the scenery along the way. Highly recommended!

It’s a convenient way to explore northern Kyoto without worrying about transfers. I enjoyed the views, especially Amanohashidate. The waters in Ine weren’t as clear as I was expecting, but maybe it’s because it’s best to go there during the summers. I also wish the instructions were much clearer in the email on how to find the guide (e.g. specific flaglet).
