Review for: Tea Ceremony and Nerikiri (Japanese Sweet) Making

Suki sensei was really knowledgeable and professional. Class was split into two parts, the wagashi making and the tea whisking. Class duration was just right and sensei made it easy to follow with both Japanese and English. Interactive and fun class! Great for experiencing the local culture. Highly recommend!!

Very fun experience! we done both sweets and Matcha making and both were very fun. It is on the 4th floor by stairs only but was not too hard as we only had small carry bags. The Sweets was super fun and interesting and our favourite part. Definitely worthwhile experience!

first of all, the teacher is very kind and accommodating ☺️🫡🤍 other than teaching us tea ceremony and how to make sweets, she asks us how we have been during our stay in japan, where we'll go next, shares stories if ever she has also experienced what we have experienced. we really appreciate that she's building rapport and we can feel her sincerity on teaching us using english even if she doesn't have to. thank you so much!! i hope we can do this again if we come back to nagoya 🍡🍵🎑👹

The teacher is very kind, gentle, and speaks English well. As an Asian, I have tried traditional Japanese sweets before, but they didn't taste that good, so I didn't expect much this time. However, the traditional Japanese sweets I made were very delicious. She explained how to make sweets diligently, and she went through every process step by step. Don't worry if you can't make it like the sample. She said the sample was made by a machine. The tea ceremony class was interesting. You can learn a lot of background knowledge. The class is a combination of two classes, and it lasts about 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was rewarding and I was able to experience Japan well. It's about a 10-minute walk from Nagoya Meitetsu Station.

Our family of 4 went (2 parents and 2 teenagers) and we all had a good time making the nerikiri (even my 16 year old son had fun) and enjoyed learning about the green tea ceremony. Out hostess was sweet and explained everything both in Japanese and in English. she was kind and patient. it is located in the 3rd floor of the building. our taxi driver was unsure where to drop us off, but we found it based on the picture on their site.
