This time it happened to be the whale watching season. Not long after boarding the ship, the crew asked everyone if they were seasick, because the waves were so big that it was a bit like a roller coaster. It didn't take long for the boat to start looking for whales, and they appeared soon. They swam very close to the boat. The crew immediately told us and introduced the knowledge of whales. During the process, they kept appearing at close range, which made everyone very excited! However, it is colder at sea, so remember to wear thick clothes. In terms of boarding location, remember to check your email for any changes! In addition, this experience also comes with an unlimited sightseeing boat ride in the city for one day. This boat is generally very expensive, and it gives us the time to cruise the river to see the river view in the city!
We were super lucky to see whales playing and interacting with us beside our boat; we also saw a group of whales swimming together; and a mother and her son 🐳 swimming together. The captain said that we were super lucky and could see all the whale activities in a 3-hour trip. The captain himself has sailed so many times, and this is an unforgettable journey that he has rarely encountered in more than ten years. And the captain is very nice and humorous. It's been a pleasant journey!
Something that you cant miss if you come here in the whale watching season. Easy to come and joint as the boat its near the cbd. We are in good condition even though the whales that we saw is quite small. Get ready to take videos as they quickly swim around. Still beautiful view of Gold Coast coastline along the boatride
Staff were very friendly and knowledgable. We really enjoyed ourselves. Don't expect to see whales breaching but we got as close to a fin as possible. Finding the boarding area was a little tricky as there were no signs.
This whale watching trip was the best experience I've had on the Gold Coast, bar none. The weather on the day of departure was very good, and the ship did not sway as expected. Along the way, I saw five or six whales, six or seven dolphins, and unexpectedly saw a small turtle! Very lucky to record the whale leaping out of the water. There were a few mischievous whales teasing the runabout next to them. If there is a chance next time, I hope that it can be called a small speedboat to chase the whale again!
An incredible experience. We loved it so much! We went out on the open Pacific Ocean! There were so many whales on that day. Super happy. Definitely a must do!
The location of the counter service does not match what klook informed. We have to walk to Ferny Ave, opposite the Circle on Cavill Shopping Centre, there will be a counter service of a tour operator called hopo. The tour is very well taken care of. We saw a big whale up close. But the waves are very strong, suggesting that anyone who has seasickness should take a seasickness medicine.
I was very lucky to see several humpback whales, dolphins and killer whales. The captain and guide are very good at explaining and telling us where the whales appeared. On the way back, you can have a beer for a fee. Originally, I was scheduled to board in the morning, but I arrived 5 minutes late and could not board, so I boarded in the afternoon. (If you ask at the Hopo container in front of the terminal, the person in charge will kindly explain) And please refrain from eating and taking motion sickness medicine 3 hours before boarding. Even if the weather is good from the distant sea, the wave is very turbulent. The 1st floor was almost a bite heaven (?), but even if you don't get motion sickness, it might be difficult because your stomach is small.
This is so worth it! We managed to see several whales at a very very close distance! The cruise boat is clean and not crowded. We managed to get a very upclose videos of the whales, if only this review allows to upload video. Before the boat sail off, the staffs told us that the wave is quite rough and asked if we want to change date but we flying back to SG the next day so we proceed. The wave was quite bad but have no regrets cause we did see so many whales and my kids were so happy upon seeing them!
Amazing experience. There are other, much larger boats that look for the whales but this one is cozy and very personal.
