Tour guide is extremely professional, knowledgable and explains everything deeply. It's a lot of walking ups and downs in the heat and waiting time for transfers ,but its worth a visit while u have stamina.

We had an amazing experience with our Klook private tour in Nanjing! Everything was well-organized, from meeting us at Nanjing South Railway Station to exploring the beautiful sights of the city. Our tour guide was exceptional, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. What truly stood out was how our guide went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful day. They were patient, attentive to our needs, and always willing to help, making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. We felt well taken care of throughout the tour. Thank you for making our visit to Nanjing so memorable. We highly recommend this private tour to anyone looking for a personalized and enjoyable experience!

Fantastic 5.0
Our tour guide, Xuanxuan, planned the itinerary perfectly, and her explanations were incredibly lively and engaging. Many historical anecdotes came to life through her descriptions, making it much easier to understand the historical background and stories of the time. The tour was rich in content but never felt dry, and the pacing was excellent. Highly recommended!

Koreans don't often travel to Nanjing, but it was a city I really wanted to visit. Most Koreans tend to go to places like Shanghai or Chongqing, so it was quite difficult for me to visit the important attractions in Nanjing. Planning was tough, and I didn't even know what there was to see. However, by taking this tour, I was able to easily visit Nanjing's main tourist spots without complicated WeChat reservations or troublesome procedures. WeChat always asks for verification, which is hard for Koreans to do. In particular, I was able to understand the historical sites like the Presidential Palace, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Music Stage, and Meiling Palace thanks to the guide's kind explanations! (I'm so glad I booked this tour because each place has an admission process, and the tourist area is huge, so you need to take a bus to get around. I wouldn't have been able to do it alone.) Although I don't speak much Chinese, the guide made a great effort to communicate with me... 🥰 (They even translated things like whether I needed to use the restroom or when to gather. They also helped me order food, which I'm very grateful for...) For those planning a trip to Nanjing from Korea, I highly recommend visiting all the major attractions through this one-day tour! The itinerary is much more substantial and better than other products. ❤️

I loved the zoo. I saw many big cats and many big cats saw me . we saw a wriggly white worm - that was alarming. however the cats made it all better because they roared and the worm wriggled away 🪱

This worked very well, you just scan your QR code to enter. There is quite a lot of walking, even if you use the little blue tourist buses (which accept WeChat Pay (not Alipay) and cash and cost 10 CNY). This is mainly an outdoor activity and Nanjing can be very hot in the summer. The visit will take about half a day and you can reach it with the metro. Furthermore note that most people only speak Mandarin.

What to know before visiting Nanjing

Highlights: what to expect from Nanjing City’s activities

Nanjing City’s top draw for visitors is its tours, which dominate bookings and shape the rhythm of the year — demand peaks in April and stays strong through May, then dips sharply in July. Smaller but steady interest goes to zoos & aquariums, museums and historical sites, so you’ll find a mix of guided outings and cultural stops spread across the calendar.

Best picks by traveller type

Families will likely enjoy zoos & aquariums and museums for easy, child-friendly outings that are low-cost and straightforward to plan. Couples can pick cultural experiences and historical sites for atmospheric, quieter moments together. Solo travellers and small groups have the widest choice in tours, which range from budget to premium and suit different interests and group sizes.

What travellers from Malaysia should book ahead

Most visitors here keep plans fairly flexible — typical bookings are about ten days out — but the earliest planners tend to book around three weeks in advance, and that matters most in the peak months of April and May. If you’re travelling in April, it’s wise to lock in popular tours and experiences earlier than you otherwise would to avoid busy dates.

How categories compare on price and who they suit

Museums are the easiest, lowest-cost entry point and are typically the cheapest way to sample local culture, while tours sit at the top of the price range and also show the widest spread of options from budget to premium. Historical sites and cultural experiences sit in the mid-range and appeal to travellers after atmosphere and learning rather than a bargain entry price. Zoos & aquariums are inexpensive and family-friendly, making them a good value pick for group outings.
