Fantastic 5.0
What a fantastic trip! I visited Dosan Seowon, Hahoe Folk Village, Wolyeonggyo Bridge, and Andong Lake. Even though I was the only person who signed up for the tour today, Mr. Lee still provided a thorough and engaging explanation (in English) throughout the entire journey. I learned so much about Andong's history and culture, and gained a deeper understanding of what life was like during the Joseon Dynasty. I believe this is truly the meaning of travel. The guide was incredibly enthusiastic and had a very kind smile. 100% recommended! :)

What to know before visiting Andong

Top experiences and seasonal rhythm

Andong-si is best known for its tours and a smaller selection of attraction passes, with tours dominating bookings through the year. Demand peaks sharply in August and falls to its lowest in February, so the kinds of guided and themed tours that define the city are busiest in late summer.

What kinds of activities suit different travellers

Families will find guided tours appealing — they’re the most common offering and tend to include easy, group-friendly options. Couples can enjoy more specialised tours or pick up attraction passes for a flexible, quieter way to explore. Solo travellers and small groups will also find tours a straightforward way to see the highlights; attraction passes offer an independent alternative for those who prefer to plan their own pace.

What travellers from Malaysia typically book ahead

Most travellers from Malaysia keep plans flexible when visiting Andong-si: typical bookings happen around five days ahead, so many activities can be arranged a day or two before. That said, the earliest planners book much earlier and August is the month when booking ahead really matters because demand spikes then.

How the main categories compare on price and who they suit

Tours are the easiest way in and also show the widest range of prices, from entry-level options to premium, specialised experiences — that makes them suitable for budget travellers up to those seeking a higher-end guided option. Attraction passes sit alongside tours but are generally a smaller part of the market and tend to suit independent travellers or couples wanting flexibility. Overall, tours offer the broadest spread of choices while passes provide a simpler, steadier price point.
