Things to do in Odusan Unification Observation Deck

Judy gave us the best history, trivia and information! Exactly the things I needed to hear, adding more value and appreciation with what I thought was just a sight-seeing tour. She deserves a raise. One of the best and informed tour-guides I experienced so far. She's so dedicated 💜

It was my first time visiting, my first time going, and my first time seeing it – absolutely beautiful! The experience inside was very relaxing and peaceful. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there was no one else around, so I could take unlimited photos without worrying about bothering anyone or being bothered. I could also fully concentrate on understanding the meaning behind the creations. The only downside is that it's quite far. Getting there was fine, but getting back was very difficult to find a taxi, unless you use local public transportation. Luckily, the handsome gentleman at the front desk helped me call a taxi using their local app. I'm so glad he helped me, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get back to the city.

Our tour guide this time was Jean Liu. The day before the tour, she sent us the itinerary and reminders about the pickup location. On the morning of the tour, she actively communicated with us and shared a lot of historical insights related to the itinerary during the drive. Our vehicle was the first to arrive at the parking lot, and the guide efficiently purchased tickets, giving us ample time to queue at Starbucks and secure seats with an excellent view. Compared to groups that arrived later and couldn't find seats, we had the best experience. This tour was truly well-organized and thoughtful of its participants. At the observation deck next to Starbucks, the guide also shared some unique observations, such as being able to see North Korean farmers working in the fields. I honestly wouldn't have noticed that if the guide hadn't pointed it out.

I'm so glad we chose this indoor-only tour. It's perfect for this hot weather; otherwise, we'd be melting! The itinerary was very relaxed, not rushed at all. Our tour guide, Will, was fantastic – we can't praise him enough.

This tour was incredibly rich in content, covering history, geography, culture, and entertainment. The tour guide spoke fluent Chinese and had a deep understanding of history, making the entire experience engaging and far from boring. It perfectly met our expectations.
