Things to do in Waitomo Glowworm Caves

The driver who picked us up used a minibus with more than ten seats, which made for a very comfortable ride from the city to Hobbiton. The guided tour of Hobbiton was very clear, the only drawback was that the time was a little short, and we couldn't stay too long, but the length of the visit is uniformly regulated, so there was nothing we could do, since there are many tourists. If you like "The Lord of the Rings," you must come and see it, as it realistically recreates the scenes from the movie. The workmanship of the small accessories is super detailed, and the souvenirs are also great to buy!

Tour guide Jeff is super nice and great. His driving skills are excellent. I slept very soundly during the car ride. Jeff constantly introduces New Zealand during the journey, and he is very attentive and friendly, dedicated and happy in his work, and still working even after retirement 👍🏻. Both locations are worth visiting and have on-site guides who give detailed explanations. The lunch included at the Hobbiton entrance is very generous and tastes great 👍🏻. The hotel pick-up and drop-off service is excellent and the trip is highly recommended.

Lovely place! The guide is friendly and helpful. and the bus leaves on time so make sure to be there 10mins early before your selected time

This small group day tour let my husband & I enjoyed a hassle free holiday. The tour guide/driver managed the travelling time which we can have enough time to enjoy breakfast & lunch. Hobbiton movie set & Waitomo Glowworm Cave are worth to visit. We really enjoyed the trip & took a lots of photos.

We had an amazing time yesterday at the Hobbiton Movie Set and the glow worm caves. Even you have not watched the movie, as most of those who joined the tour, you'll still have a good time. Hobbiton is so beautiful. We had a good time with our driver Raymond from Auckland and Beyond Tours. He shared a lot of information about NZ. The tour was worth it.
