Things to do in Shimokitazawa

We had the best time shopping with our guide Shun. His knowledge of local stores and thrifting is second to none! As first timers to Japan who don’t speak Japanese, it was great to get a locals insights into the area. He also listened to what we were looking for and showed us exactly what we wanted to see. Amazing experience!

You need to buy tickets about 14-15 days in advance to get a good time. I booked two separate days and times because I was hoping to do one at sunset and another at night. even though I went on the site immediately when tickets were available, all the sunset optiobs were sold out. I thought going 1.5 hours early would be okay since there was a bar upstairs. but the it was so crowded that we couldn’t find space to sit & it was far to hot (late August) to stay in tge roof until sunset. so we took our pics and left. the following night was much better. I booked a 1940 time slot was much better. It was cooler, they had a light show and the skyline was incredible!!!

Stepping into teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills feels like crossing the boundary between reality and dreams. There's no fixed path here, only endless fantastical exploration. Kristin the emcee was a gem and very engaging! she kept the sumo's energy up although it was an early 930am slot. the sumos were also very sporting and fun to watch, we enjoyed and were engaged throughout. 90 mins flew by really quickly too. Would recommend this activity especially with the rainy weather :)

Just spent an amazing afternoon with Camille making 2 rings from coins. Camille was simply superb. She took care to help me choose the coins, then she walked me through the process of forming the ring. She took the time to explain every process and supervise me to make sure the piece is made to perfection. She paid extra attention while polishing the rings and the final product was just surreal. Overall would 100% recommend and if you’re ever there just ask for Camille!!

absolutely loved it! I wanna do it again ! Staff super cool and friendly , they offer u a go pro for a little extra charge if you want record your driving in a video, I took my own n borrowed their tripod clip thing. The guide takes pics n video of you through out. It’s very safe. And you go through the scramble a couple of times . it’s a really good tour we drove past Takeshita street and Parco mall (which I hadn’t seen before) so that was nice. The look on pedestrian faces and pple waving to you makes you feel like a super cool person! loved every second from check in through to the end professional friendly staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
