Sabah Water activities

We boarded a popular influencer boat, and the young crew members were very dedicated, singing and dancing. I sat in the front row and was quite scared; the boat swayed a lot. On the return trip, sitting at the back of the boat was much better. We snorkeled in two beautiful spots with lots of fish.

Five-star experience! Five-star trip! A perfect journey! Our tour guide, Sue, contacted us via WhatsApp the night before and was incredibly patient in answering all our questions. She also helped us take photos throughout the trip without any hesitation. Some of our group members had very high expectations for photography, and Sue was surprisingly patient in helping them get their shots. It's worth noting that our group was a combination of several smaller groups, but all the guides knew each other, so they were great at creating a lively atmosphere. One guide constantly played music through a loudspeaker, which really boosted the mood, and they even matched the theme – for example, playing Jay Chou's "Rice Field" when we were watching fireflies! Truly professional! Be aware that the local mosquitoes are very aggressive and aren't deterred by mosquito repellent, so that's something to keep in mind. The sunset there is stunning! We had plenty of time for free activities and taking photos. My first snorkeling experience was also amazing. The only downside was that some people in our group might have been afraid of water, so we had to accommodate them and couldn't visit more spots. We ended up staying at one spot for about an hour. You can rent a locker on the island for HKD $60, but you honestly don't need to; no one is going to steal your belongings on a deserted island... Watching the fireflies is an absolutely unforgettable experience! Photos can't capture the awe-inspiring sight; you'll understand once you go! P.S. The meeting time that day was 7 AM! So it was a very early start, but totally worth it.

Got a super nice female coach Fifi who was super patient in teaching us how to paddle and she also took very nice pictures! Went on a quiet morning so the sunrise was really beautiful and it was not crowded. The session was well paced so we had sufficient time to learn how to paddle and went all the way out in the sea to see the sunrise. The water was also clear that day so we managed to see some corals. Highly recommend to go for the sunrise session!

Although I'm not sure why other guests were no-shows, my partner and I ended up having a car and a boat all to ourselves. Upon arrival, we first went to the meeting point to eat. After our meal, we set off for the pier to go whitewater rafting in an inflatable boat. I had already informed the coach that I couldn't swim, so I was very scared at first. However, by the middle of the trip, I found it very exciting and safe. The coach was truly amazing, and he was also witty and humorous. Even though he had an accent, communication was absolutely seamless. Additionally, there was a photographer at several stops who took pictures for us. The package included lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. While the food wasn't incredibly delicious or lavish, it was certainly satisfying. Our guide also took us to a deserted island and took some incredibly beautiful photos of us; it was absolutely stunning. Finally, the guide worked hard to attract fireflies, and we had a magical evening, though it was difficult to capture the fireflies with a phone camera. Seeing them with our own eyes was wonderful, and it was a truly fulfilling day.

The boat was good for the price, but the massage could be longer. It is an option for two hours. The first island is beautiful, gorgeous, and clean. The second island is a little bit short, but you can do two islands in one day. For the price, it's definitely worth it. For any first-timer, I recommend it for sure. The locals are friendly, and the food is great as well.

The weather was great that day, and we enjoyed parasailing and flying fish water activities. The crew proactively helped take photos, and it was impressive how skilled they were at using various phone models. Snorkeling was also fun. Olivia was the one who took us on the tour that day, thank you for her company and explanations.😊

The crew was super friendly and took great care of us. We booked the snorkeling activity, and the boat was shared with 4 other people who were all diving. Because of this, we visited 3 spots for snorkeling/diving. We saw many turtles and fish. Unfortunately, one spot wasn't suitable for snorkeling due to strong currents, which was a shame. We also only went ashore on Mataking. We would have liked to visit the other two islands as well.

I couldn't find the red phone booth, which was the meeting point, so I went to the information counter at Jesselton Ferry Port. Although I was past the meeting time, the information desk staff called the tour company for me, and I was able to meet up with my guide. There were three other groups who were also lost, and we all headed to the island together. It was my first time snorkeling, but they provided a life vest and fins, so I was able to swim easily. While I was swimming, the guide took photos and videos with a GoPro! I especially love the video taken with the clownfish's home! The photos taken will be sent via WhatsApp after the tour. Swimming was quite tiring, so it was great to have about two hours of relaxation time afterward. The boat ride was quite rough, so I wish I had taken motion sickness medication.

A private and beautiful island. I was satisfied with the delicious lunch and the guide was friendly. More than anything, I was satisfied with the beautiful scenery. I was satisfied with the hotel pick-up and transfer service, and the driver was very kind and comfortable. However, I wanted to use the paddleboard a lot, but there was only one paddleboard, and even that kept losing air, so I had to keep inflating it, and two members of our group took turns using it, and other members had to take turns using it discreetly. We didn't snorkel, but other members enjoyed snorkeling. There were plenty of kayaks, but we were disappointed because we mainly wanted to use the paddleboard. All other facilities were satisfactory. The restrooms were very clean and the showers were relatively 괜찮다.
