Things to do in Hamilton

I booked the Hobbiton Movie Set Tour, the service was super great and excellent!. I was taken care of by Raymond, all the way to the set he explained and showed us the history, the view around the movie set. Thank you for your service 👍🏻👍🏻

Wanted to rate 5 but there was a technical issue a bit during the flight where we did not really hear what captain say on the helicopter. That’s sad whcause I’d love to listen to the story but it must have been the noise all around. However, it was truly a once in a life time experience and highly recommend other people to try!

Our guide was very friendly and shared some interesting facts about the sights on the way to Hobbiton. The journey back involved some unexpected detours (as part of a toilet break) which could have been avoided, but oh well, at least we did finally make it back in the end.

A steep price to pay, but it was a good experience. We made lots of stops, maybe around five. We saw geothermal mud pools, saw the Lady Knox Geyser eruption, explored Thermal Wonderland, visited the Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest, saw a stream with blue water (don’t know the name), and made a pitstop at the animal-shaped buildings in Tirau. The guide drove nicely and was helpful.
