A steep price to pay, but it was a good experience. We made lots of stops, maybe around five. We saw geothermal mud pools, saw the Lady Knox Geyser eruption, explored Thermal Wonderland, visited the Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest, saw a stream with blue water (don’t know the name), and made a pitstop at the animal-shaped buildings in Tirau. The guide drove nicely and was helpful.
It was interesting to see the interesting geography of Waiotapu. The Champagne Pool and Artist's Palette were very beautiful colorful hot springs. The Redwood forest was also beautiful. It was a bit disappointing that we only passed through Government Gardens by car.
We had a great time and were able to visit the geothermal area, geyser, etc. as scheduled. We thank Mr. Dinesh for sharing his stories.
The tour guide was friendly and helpful. If you enjoy natural scenery, Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and Blue Spring are must-visit attractions.
