Had an amazing two days. this two day tour is worth doing. highly recommend, however, there are hidden costs so be mindful. our guide Doris is such a lovely warm person, very helpful, respectful and on her way to becoming a No.1 tour guide.

5/5 – Highly recommended! Got a great deal on Klook, and the booking process was completely seamless. Voucher redemption was straightforward with no issues at the venue. It saved both time and money. Will definitely book again!

Fantastic 5.0
A magical place. We spent about 6 hours there, and you need to be good on your feet, as despite escalators and cable cars, you'll climb many stairs and walk breathtaking paths around the mountains. A truly great experience.

Fantastic 5.0
"Unreal Views, but a Logistics and Crowd Nightmare"The Good:The scenery is absolutely mind-blowing. Seeing the floating karst pillars in person looks exactly like Avatar and photos do not do it justice. Walking along the Golden Whip Stream at the valley floor was a peaceful highlight, and the views from Tianzi Mountain are unforgettable. The Bad:The crowd management is exhausting. Even during the shoulder season, we faced massive tour groups, loud megaphones, and pushing in lines. We waited nearly 90 minutes just for a 2-minute ride on the Bailong Elevator. The Reality Check:This is not a relaxing nature hike. It is a highly commercialized, physically demanding theme park for mountains. You will walk thousands of concrete steps.Top Tips:Get to the gates by 7:00 AM or face brutal lines.Download an offline translator app; English signage and English-speaking staff are rare.Do not forget your physical passport, or they will not let you in.

Fantastic 5.0
i had little expectations because all i see in the videos are the glass bridge and the zipline but the walking trail is really beautiful. by far my favorite among everything we've seen in china.

Fantastic 5.0
The show was magnificent and enjoyable. There is singing, acrobat and visual effects from the lightings. We were given row 1 seats as we got the svip tickets! Need to contact the vendor to get the exchange code at the ticketing counter or self service kiosk. A pity the outdoor show was cancelled due to rain

What to know before visiting Zhangjiajie

What travellers most book and when

Zhangjiajie City is best known for outdoor Parks & gardens experiences, followed closely by Museums, with Tours, Events & shows and Attraction passes also popular. Demand builds through the spring and peaks in April, then falls to its lowest point in February, so the busiest season is concentrated in the spring months.

Best activities for families, couples and solo travellers

Families will find Parks & gardens and Museums the easiest fit—outdoor sights and museum visits suit kids and mixed-age groups. Couples often prefer the more immersive Tours and atmospheric Events & shows for memorable shared experiences. Solo travellers and small groups can mix Attraction passes with shorter museum visits or join local Tours to cover more ground efficiently.

What travellers from Malaysia tend to book ahead

Most travellers from Malaysia keep their plans fairly flexible, since typical stays here are around 11 days; many experiences can be booked a day or two before arrival, and last-minute options still exist within about five days of travel. That said, earlier planners tend to book around three weeks ahead, and booking in advance matters most in April when demand peaks.

How categories compare on price and who they suit

Attraction passes are the easiest, most budget-friendly way in, offering straightforward, low-entry pricing for casual visitors. Parks & gardens and Museums sit at a mid-range level and are ideal for families and sightseers looking for reliable value. Tours are the priciest and show the widest range of options—from more affordable group tours to premium private experiences—making them the category with the greatest price spread and the best fit for travellers wanting depth or customization. Events & shows generally fall into the lower-mid range and suit visitors after a single, memorable outing.
