Things to do in Zhangjiajie

Tianmen mountain had some amazing views, the red route had the better views, but is definitely worth a full loop covering both the red and yellow routes. For anyone else going it’s worth waiting till 19:00 when the mountain lights up, the lights go through a cycle before finishing with a rainbow of lights at 20:00, unfortunately didn’t stay for the full light show due to rain. For ease, I would recommend staying near the cable car

"Unreal Views, but a Logistics and Crowd Nightmare"The Good:The scenery is absolutely mind-blowing. Seeing the floating karst pillars in person looks exactly like Avatar and photos do not do it justice. Walking along the Golden Whip Stream at the valley floor was a peaceful highlight, and the views from Tianzi Mountain are unforgettable.The Bad:The crowd management is exhausting. Even during the shoulder season, we faced massive tour groups, loud megaphones, and pushing in lines. We waited nearly 90 minutes just for a 2-minute ride on the Bailong Elevator.The Reality Check:This is not a relaxing nature hike. It is a highly commercialized, physically demanding theme park for mountains. You will walk thousands of concrete steps.Top Tips:Get to the gates by 7:00 AM or face brutal lines.Download an offline translator app; English signage and English-speaking staff are rare.Do not forget your physical passport, or they will not let you in.

i had little expectations because all i see in the videos are the glass bridge and the zipline but the walking trail is really beautiful. by far my favorite among everything we've seen in china.

Pass by this black building called 72 strange towers when I was in Didi to hotel and it really looked magnificent. Booked tickets went in at 6 pm to look around the place. At 7 pm whole building lit up and wow it’s a sight to behold as building became golden. Watched 4 short performances.

our tour guide Xu Jun’an was amazing and made our trip smooth and wonderfall. even there was a language barrier, but was not a problem at all as we used wechat for translation. big thanks to this wonderful experience

The best cable car experience with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The ride was smooth and comfortable, and the scenery from above was absolutely breathtaking.

The show was magnificent and enjoyable. There is singing, acrobat and visual effects from the lightings. We were given row 1 seats as we got the svip tickets! Need to contact the vendor to get the exchange code at the ticketing counter or self service kiosk. A pity the outdoor show was cancelled due to rain
