Gay Bars to explore in Taipei, Taiwan 🏳️‍🌈

    1. Abrazo

Abrazo recently received the IF Red Dot Design Award.
Abrazo is one of the hottest gay bars in Taipei at the moment. Patrons would queue for hours to get in on Fridays and Saturdays for a chance to witness the presence of iconic figures! Since its move from Yanji Street to its current location at Dunhua South Road, Abrazo has divided its bar into a non-smoking area on the first floor and a smoking area on B1.
Those who enjoy moving to the beat must explore the basement for a dance floor party experience also known to be as lit as a "New Year's Eve concert." Perhaps it's the DJs excellent choice of music that attracted a younger crowd 🤭? As for entrance fees, it is 400 NTD for males and 800 NTD for females, and includes a drink upon entry. Even with the steep entrance fee, it is worth it for the amount of attractive guys you wouldn't want to miss!
    • Address: No. 198, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Taipei City
    • Young studs: ♂♂♂♂♂
    • Drinks: ♂♂♂
    • Comfort: ♂♂♂ (May vary depending on the individual. If you want to be surrounded by a lively crowd, coming here is definitely the right choice!)

    2. Bacio Taipei

Bacio Taipei is the perfect bar to drink, chat and relax.
Located not far from Abrazo, Bacio is a drinking spot that even the KLOOK travel experience specialist personally enjoys. Compared to Abrazo, Bacio offers a more relaxed environment perfect for chatting with friends without a crowd hovering over your heads or loud music overpowering conversations. If you arrive at Bacio earlier, you'll have the chance to meet many young studs (as they tend to come to Bacio for a drink before heading to Abrazo later). So it's recommend to add Bacio as a pitstop after your early dinner before heading to Abrazo to unleash your wild side!
    • Address: No. 11, Lane 160, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Taipei City
    • Young studs: ♂♂♂♂
    • Drinks: ♂♂♂
    • Comfort: ♂♂♂♂♂ (Features upbeat and trendy music, and not overcrowded)

"Belle's 碧瓷俱樂部" is currently the hottest club on Instagram in Taipei!
Belle's relocated from Yanji Street to the Xinyi District's ATT area at the end of 2022. It features a glamorous and magical theme, with a bar designed to resemble a carousel, creating an atmosphere resembling an adult amusement park. The main stage is strategically located at the centre, so everyone can enjoy the dance performances from any angle. On weekends, there are drag queens, sexy hunks, and sizzling dance performances posing Belle's as a must-visit bar for anyone in Taipei!
    • Address: 7F, ATT4Fun, Xinyi District, Taipei
    • Young studs: ♂♂♂♂♂
    • Drinks: ♂♂♂
    • Comfort: ♂♂♂♂

Commander D is a BDSM-themed bar in Ximending.
In Ximending, there are two bars that cater to those who prefer a more explicit taste: Hunt and Commander D. The two establishments have very different styles. Commander D leans towards an SM and bondage-themed bar style and they have different themes every day. You can refer to their official Facebook page for the monthly schedule of their daily events. However, the most exciting events usually take place on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Examples of unique events include Under Armor Day, Dog Night, and Sock Day. One highlight not to miss is the famous "darkroom." Just remember to clean up before drinking (we're kidding) ~

    • Young studs: ♂♂♂
    • Drinks: ♂♂♂

Fairy Taipei operates as a regular restaurant and bar, but around 10 PM, it gradually transforms into a gathering place for young and attractive gay men. The cocktails at Fairy are exceptional! The Fairy Tale drink is a must-try drink made with rum, blackcurrant liqueur, and fresh berries blended into a frozen cocktail. It's incredibly refreshing to enjoy a drink like that on a hot summer day!🍸

    6. G-Star

G-Star is the go-to bar for many during their middle school days.
G-Star would be a familiar memory for some who frequently visited the bar during their 7th and 8th grades in middle school. "Let's go dancing at G-Star tonight!" is probably the most common topic spoken among them on Saturday nights. G-Star has a lively atmosphere, and the dancers on stage are truly talented! They can change formations and dance moves swiftly as soon as the music changes; which makes us wonder if they practice a lot at home? If you want to watch their amazing performances, there's no need to arrive too early as the most talented Korean group at G-Star usually takes the stage around 1:00 AM.
    • Address: B1, No. 23, Longjiang Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City
    • Young studs: ♂♂♂♂ (A great place to meet young and attractive guys in their early 20s)
    • Drinks: ♂♂ (Decent drink options)
    • Comfort: ♂♂♂ (Moderately comfortable ambiance)

    7. Ganymade

Ganymade is a bar co-created by the renowned LGBTQ+ YouTuber FJ234.
Ganymade bar was named after Greek mythology, where Ganymade was the name of Zeus's only favoured male lover 😱. This is a pretty well-known LGBTQ+ bar even though it just opened in the recent years as it's co-created by the renowned LGBTQ+ YouTuber FJ234. Every Thursday, there are live music performances, and on Fridays and Saturdays, there are drag shows or dance performances.
    • Address: No. 2, Lane 190, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Da'an District, Taipei City.

    8. Hunt

Hunt is known for its KY Wrestling competition, inspired by the olive oil wrestling in Turkey.
Participants apply KY jelly on their bodies and engage in intense physical interactions. Regardless of their physique or appearance, witnessing the friction of male bodies is truly a sight to behold. Another well-known event is the "Small Towel Night," which takes place on the last Sunday night of each month. Attendees are required to strip completely naked and leave only with the small towel provided at the venue (yes, everyone does this) 😎. It's no wonder that things might get heated and steamy during such an event.
    • Address: No. 7, Section 2, Guiyang Street, Wanhua District, Taipei City
    • Young studs: ♂♂♂
    • Drinks: ♂♂♂
    • Comfort: ♂♂♂♂
