The gem of a spot makes it famous for road trips - the exceptional view you get while driving here will make you forget you are even in Japan.

Currently, the reconstruction process is open to the public, so you can drop by to have a look at the current ruins of Shuri Castle.
The Shuri Castle Park is also dotted with valuable cultural assets. The famous Shureimon Gate and the World Heritage Sonohyan Utaki Stone Gate are also worth seeing here. This is a spot you would want to visit in order to support the rebuilding of Shuri Castle.

Kokusai Street is the busiest go-to spot in Okinawa, a shopping street that stretches across 1 mile. The Naha Airport is also pretty nearby, a 15-minute ride via Yui Rail. In fact, many people would buy souvenirs here on the last day of their trip, as well as a last chance to enjoy various Okinawan food.
You can also find fashionable shops along the back streets, so do head back and take a look if you're interested. If you have time, we also recommend visiting the First Makishi Public Market, just a short walk away! There are rows and rows of ingredients unique to Okinawa here.
Klook tip: We highly recommend visiting the Sakaemachi Market located in the area called Asato on the East side of Kokusai Street. During the day, it is a go-to market for locals, but at night, it transforms into a hidden bar district with a Showa atmosphere!
With shops of all sizes lined up here, you will definitely want to visit as many as you can here, from standing bars, to exquisite izakayas. Our personal pick would be Iurinron, a gyoza restaurant that always has a line, and Kushiyaki Adan Main Store, where you can enjoy a wide variety of vegetable skewers!
