unfortunately Belem tower is going through refurbishment and not open to the public. overall experience was average, guide seems to be regurgitating from a history textbook.
I was very disappointed that this excursion did NOT include a visit to the Ajuda National Palace, the Belém Tower (which is under renovation, so no discount for the activity that included it...), and the Jerónimos Monastery, which I absolutely thought and wanted to see on this trip... Furthermore, there were about 7 of us on the activity, and 3 of them really did not respect the bus arrival time instructions, and this without any constraint or message from the guide... (e.g., 45 minutes late and 20 minutes late another time...) so when we visited the National Treasure Museum, we did it really rushed.
We enjoyed the tour! a lot of history revealed. the guide is old but very knowledgeable, very detailed.
