Reviews
We had an amazing time learning about the system as beginners. John was great and answered every question we had while Cody was great at assisting us with the telescope. I loved that we got to see Saturn as a bonus!
It was a wonderful experience sitting by the beach and gazing at the stars in Jervis Bay. Our guides made sure we were kept nice and warm and provided blankets and mats for us to lie on and watch the stars. Dimitri has a PhD in Astronomy and definitely knows his stuff. He not only pointed out planets and constellations to us, he explained how stars are born, how to tell the ages of the stars, and even about the various cultural interpretations of the night sky. I learned alot during the session and would highly recommend it! There is a telescope set up and also binoculars so we can view objects in the night sky in greater detail. We saw Jupiter and the moon and some other clusters of stars, and even the milky way (although it was rather faint)! If the moon wasn't out, it would have been better for stars. But still thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of it.
