Kumamoto Takachiho Gorge Full-Day Tour with Gourmet

Klook arranges the transport and restaurant reservation. The arrangement is smooth. I only have to arrive at the right time and right place, and showing my ticket. And I had more than 3 hours to enjoy my time. Takachiho is gorgeous. Even it takes 3 hours to travel from Kumamoto, it worths it.

1. This time, 7 people went, and the Sakuramachi bus connected them. The driver will check the seat list (it is recommended to print the order to make it easier to check the list). 2. Stop at Takamori Station for 10 minutes, where you can use the restroom and take photos of the One Piece train. There are many anime signature boards and commemorative stamps inside the station. 3. When we arrived at Takachiho, there was a taxi driver holding a sign with names (it was raining heavily that day and the driver held up the sign in the rain. He was really distressed and dedicated). Unfortunately, the order stated that more than 4 people would be divided into 2 taxis. Because it was raining heavily and there was poor communication, I made the mistake. I thought there was only one taxi at the back. The shuttle driver was very nice. After we arrived at the designated location, we found out that he would go back for the second taxi. The shuttle driver later helped us connect with another taxi driver and refunded the money to us. It was true. Very grateful. And halfway through, my friend discovered that we had left our cell phones on the bus and forgot to take them. The driver immediately took us back to the bus to get them without saying a word. We were really grateful. 4. Although it rained heavily today, it has a unique flavor. I hope the weather will be good next time I visit again^^.

I reallly recommend this trip to Takachiho Gorge! There was pleite of time to explore there, even after bit TOO much time haha. In my opinion you should definitely reserve a boat before this trip, I kinda regret not doing that. The only negative thing was that there was only onr taxi to pick us up and we were too many people for one ride. So he drove one group first and then my group, so we arrived later there than the first group.

There is no guide for this tour. Just be at the Kumamoto Station bus stop no. 7 10 minute before the departure time to board the bus to Takachiho bus terminal. From there, we got to picked up by a taxi driver (who will be holding a board with our name) and drove us to the restaurant. Afterwhich is free and easy at the gorge and making our way back to the Takachiho bus terminal for the bus back to Kumamoto. There is no arrange transportation from the gorge back to the terminal. The taxi provided is only 1 way.

In the morning, I went to the Sakuramachi bus terminal to catch the bus. The driver called out our names and confirmed our seats. There were several Taiwanese people on the bus. The ride took about 3 hours. We took a short break on the way. The forest we passed by was very beautiful. Then someone would pick us up at our destination. After lunch, we walked around nearby. The canyon was very beautiful. Unfortunately, we couldn't take a boat trip because it was fully booked. We had to walk back to the bus station on the way back and take another 3-hour bus ride back to Kumamoto. It was already 8 o'clock in the evening when we arrived in Kumamoto.

The package basically included an arranged confirmed return trip via public transport, transfer to the restaurant, which is at the gorge, and a beef or chicken grill set lunch. The lunch was fantastic and the short trail along the gorge was relaxing and picturesque. However, please take note that you will need to make your way back to the bus terminal - which required a strenuous uphill climb from the gorge and a total of about 30 - 40 minutes walk. We have had a nice tea break at a cafe along the way to the bus terminal as there was plenty of time before the scheduled departure time. We arrived at Kumamoto bus station at about 8pm.

Very satisfied with the itinerary and time arrangement, the driver is very professional, the transfer taxi driver is friendly, the lunch is delicious and the place is large, there is a shop opposite, and the famous Takachiho Gorge is just before the trip. The scenery is very beautiful and it is worth participating in the KLOOK experience.

A generally hassle free itinerary. The direction is clear and fairly easy to follow. Just follow the timing and be at each pick up earlier than required will do.
